"Perfect for those who aim for skiing and snowboarding. The dinner is a buffet with wide range of selections but if you want a King crab to be included, you need to inform the hotel prior your dinner otherwise no King crab at all.
Room is ok for its rate and parking lot is wide.
Overall is ok."
"Even though the hotel is located in the highlands very far (not within walking distance) from JR Tazawako Station, with the help of the hotel staff at JR Inn Sapporo JRイン 札幌 where I stayed at from May 7 to 10, she helped me to call KAMENOI HOTEL TAZAWAKO亀の井ホテル 田沢湖 to book the hotel's station pick-up service (complimentary) from JR Tazawako Station (田沢湖駅) but had to wait quite a while as the hotel’s pick-up is only available at 3.30pm.
There isn’t much to do around the area which has a lot of abandoned buildings, shops and hotels etc. in a state of akiya.
But that doesn’t dampen my mood at all as I get to immerse myself in the traditional Japanese ryokan experience of buffet dinner and breakfast (both were excellent), onsen and wearing the traditional yukata.
Although the hotel’s open-air onsen (rotemburo) was temporarily closed due to damage during the winter period, the hotel has partnered with another nearby hotel to allow guests to make use of the other hotel’s rotemburo."
"The room is old, lucky to have a bathroom, bathroom room, no need to go out to public, the room is large, the view is very good, facing the forest, on the river side, listening to the sound of the river, very healing, breakfast and dinner can be, the hotel has free private style, but every time someone uses it, only use the big bath, But the original big bath is only used by me alone. The disguise is a private wind. A big surprise. It is bigger than the private wind. It is super positive. There will be a special car transfer to the crane soup at 8 pm. You can also go to the hot springs and see if you can't make an appointment. Really worth it and the price is cheap, the crane soup is mixed with men and women, the boys' dressing room, the shadow is seen outside, the line is completely uncovered, but the girls have covered and along the road have been submerged in the water, do not have to be afraid of others to see, it is worthy of praise"
"Clean, well-managed, the environment outside the window is very romantic, This place is simply a paradise on earth, The food is quite satisfactory, It would be better if there was roast beef Wasabi, Unfortunately there is no, This place is really beautiful, I will definitely come again, Especially the snow scene, It is really beautiful🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻"
"The hotel is located by Lake Tazawa. There is a shuttle bus to pick up at Lake Tazawa Station. The hotel staff is very friendly and polite. The room is very clean and the wind and shadow outside the window are beautiful. There is also a family bath, which is very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast are included. Food Very delicious, highly recommended. "
"Love the location and the private onsen with lake view, you have option to reserve this by yourself so it’s quite convenient as we have a room for ourselves for 30 minutes to enjoy the onsen and the views. The building is quite old from outside but the room and amenities are quite okay, they provided everything you needed for your stay. We would love to go back for the cherry blossoms"
"It is an inn with a large hot spring. The hot spring is indoors, but it was a high-ceiling building with thick log pillars, and it was a large communal bath with an atmosphere.
There is a restaurant in the building with hot spring facilities. The restaurant is also comfortable with high ceilings. There are a wide variety of sake from Akita Prefecture, and the food was very delicious. The Chinese food was plentiful and I had green pepper shredded meat, but it was very delicious. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide selection of Japanese and Western dishes and local dishes."
"The environment is very good. The hotel is right next to the lake. If you make a reservation, the merchant will pick you up at the JR station by car. The hot spring is also very comfortable and worth visiting."
"Very nice experience. The cafe has a warm and cozy ambience. The room is unique too with nice lakeview. The meals are special too. It is better to order meals during this period as you cannot find food elsewhere easily. It’s strongly recommended to visit the Lake Tazawa. The water is so calm and clear and clean."
