Recensing a Japanese restaurant or hotel may seem to be meaningless (it is so far away to who will serve), but I hope this and my other reviews can help the tourist who is in these areas. At the bottom, tourists are more or less all going through the same areas and knowing where a good restaurant or a decent hotel can be useful .... is always useful ;-) I am here in Shingu, a choice to visit the Nachi cascades and the temples of the area. The hotel is a slightly trist setting dated in the 1970s, but at least the photos on the sites were real so I knew what we were expecting. In the end I will stay there only two nights and to rest it's more than good. The hotel is located four steps from the station and similarly from the center (we are in Shingu not Tokyo) and reflects how much booked it is. The restaurant is also good if you fail to find one open in the small town.
Just 15 minutes walk from the station. Clean and silent rooms, bathroom with comfortable bathroom, small but functional. A complete change of towels, tape, shoes and green tea is provided every day. The hotel is very friendly, but it is not very English (made in gestures). Breakfast with a rich protein and rice buffet: the only Italian standard breakfast is a semi-decent coffee and the possibility of toasting a bag and spraying it with a packed beans marmellate. 4**** for service.
It is about 5 minutes walk through the street that is not vibrant like the shutter street in front of shingu station. I didn't have much expectations, but when the hotel approached, the building was clean and this was quite good. The first floor is mainly a parking lot (there are other parking lots), and the front desk is on the third floor. There is a feeling of cleanliness at the front desk with a considerable size. I think the staff is also great. The room was on the 5th floor, but I was surprised to enter the room. The room has an area of more than 20 square meters and is relaxing. The step is between the boards. It is a double and semi-double twin bed in the back. If the bath in the room is also large, and I thought I would put it loose, there is also a large bath on the 3 floor. The large bath is large and the bathtub alone can put about 10 people loosely. The washroom is also equipped with a partition wall, and about 10 people can be used at a time. Breakfast was also rich in number of items and provided us with enough satisfaction. There are Kumano Hayatama Taisha shrine and kamikura Jinja shrine nearby, so it is also convenient to visit Kumano Sanzan. I stayed at various national hotels, but it was an impressive hotel including Cospa.
Very old hotel. The room looked like a student room from the 70s. Average location, Shingu is a small town, everything is within easy reach. The staff were friendly.
It's cheap at 5,000 yen with breakfast, but the bike parking lot is a covered space in the basement. You can choose several types of breakfast, and above all, it was handmade and delicious. ◼️ Location There are many restaurants around the hotel. There are several recommended shops in front of the lobby. In fact, there was a lot of walking color 々. There is a convenience store nearby, but if you walk a little, there is a local local supermarket called Hymart (cashless), and you can sell colors such as side dishes and sake 々. ◼️ Facility The building was old and the key was not auto lock. The bath and toilet are not large to flatter, but the amenities are complete, and the room is equipped with air conditioner and air purifier. There is no EV because it is low-rise. When I stayed, the paid channel was open for free, and I felt like I got all-you-can-see movies. Also, there was a large amount of manga in the lobby (a little old and the genre may be biased). ◼️ Others It was May, but I feel that there were quite a few mosquitoes in the underground parking area. Also, I entered the room and was stabbed about two places. However, the room is equipped with mosquito incense properly, so if you put it properly, you may not have been stabbed.
Kumano Sea is right in front of you. The entrance is on the 4th floor, with a front desk and a viewing terrace. However, due to the unfortunate weather and gloomy outlook during our visit, we did not use the observation terrace. The rooms were located on the 1st to 5th floors. At check-in, the front desk showed us the location of the front desk, elevators, rooms, bathrooms, and restaurant on a small map of the building, which was very convenient. The dining location was a restaurant, but due to the coronavirus, seats were spaced apart. Since we visited in July, where different menus are prepared depending on the season, we decided to try ``tuna.'' A menu was placed on the table. Seafood is the main dish, but Kumano beef loin teppanyaki is also available. It's not a big deal, but I think it's ”satisfactory”. The baths consist of a large bath, silk skin bath, ceramic bath, and open-air bath, but you have to go down the stairs to access the ceramic bath and open-air bath. Unfortunately, the weather was not good, so the view was not satisfactory.
