Not the perfect scenario but my flight landed into Mexico City at 1.20 am. I arrived at the hotel and the doorman/bellman was perfect. But upon trying to check in the night auditor Juan would not allow me to check-in for a reservation I just made online 5 minutes before I approached the front desk so I could check-in. He advised to come back at 3pm. There was no solution provided to offer to check me in a day early. No offer of checking in early is an additional fee. No option of lets change your reservation the third party. He was kind of rude about it. I also had to ask for my passport back once he refused check-in. Service is obviously questionable in the overnight staff. Juan did not apologize or offer to call a taxi after he refused service. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone that is paying for their room. And then did not offer a refund or any compensation.
