"The building is an old one, centrally located in Segamat Town (lots of shops, super market around). There is complimentary parking available in the basement that has a lift to the lobby. Despite the old building, the rooms have been refurbished. We booked a deluxe room with a window view. The room is very compact but decently comfortable. Clean, amenities all there. What could be worked within mgt control is 1. The cigarette smell in the bathroom (for a non-smoking room was not ideal). 2. Water pressure (hot water was ample but the shower pressure was just not there) Otherwise, the stay was good and staff were friendly. Thank you, and looking forward to our next stay."

"I had a pleasant stay at VIP Hotel Segamat. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location is convenient, close to shops and restaurants. The breakfast was simple but tasty. Overall, it’s a good value for money and I’d be happy to stay here again."

"It is a budget hotel in the old building. It smells dusty and urgently need to be renovated. Bring your own toiletries. No kettle, coffee, tea provided but there's water dispenser in every floor. The standard king room is quite dangerous with the steps when coming out from shower and the room has limited space. Mattress is on the floor and sinking. Pillow is too low. Comparing the price and the amenities, I feel it is a bit pricey. The receptionist mistakenly give us standard room instead of deluxe room we booked online."

"The room is spacious and comfortable. The TV only has 2 channels, TV1 and TV Okey. There is only bath soap, others please bring your own, for example toothbrush, toothpaste and hair shampoo. The air conditioner takes a while to cool. Opening the entrance door is a bit tricky. Behind the hotel there is Segamat Sentral Mall, bus station and train station."
