We arrived early and were able to access the room before time, very professional, smiling and pleasant staff. We were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment instead of the studio and had a restful night despite the noise from the portable air conditioning as the one in the apartment was broken. Very practical you do not need towels or shower kit, everything is provided for you.
Magnificent and breathtaking view of the ocean. Access to shops, boutiques and restaurants located just below the hotel and in the surrounding area.
We had a 3 night stay in Noumea staying at the Ramada Hotel. The staff in all parts of the hotel were very friendly and helpful!! They gave great service!! We had a view of the race course which was quite pleasant. We liked Anse Vata area and found the best way to get around was to catch the local bus (into the main town area). (It was cheap, easy to do and very well airconditioned.) The swimming pool was lovely and shaded in the afternoon. The room was spacious and had everything we needed (plumbing needs some work). There are plenty of cafes etc a short walk away and we enjoyed swimming at the beach. The promenade area is lovely.
Just had a lovely week long stay at Le Lagon Stayed in a suite Anse vata street side. Got a good deal on Agoda. Would upgrade the suite next time as it was a bit noisy outside. Would definitely stay again though. Positives: good size, clean, pleasantly presented, huge comfortable bed Great location - we ate breakfast at the l’atelier bakery down the road and got their filled rolls for lunch - amazing value. Was also 2 stores that sold alcohol and food. Beach was lovely Swimming pool nice - great sun beds and temp not too warm Negatives: No toaster, no sharp knives in kitchen. No wine glasses No shampoo conditioner etc - only pump soap provided Bath tubb painted - needs replacing. Difficult to climb in and out of for shower if have mobility issues No door on icebox freezer so took ages to freeze water Advice: If on budget eat at bakery and picnic it. Buy Brie and pate from the stores nearby for snacks. Store next to bakery has the better wine selection. Being a chilly bin/esky and water bottles to freeze for day trips There are no nighttime buses from lemon bay - was a bit nervous to do the walk at night do we only ate lunch at lemon bay - go to Babar cafe Anse vata restaurants v expensive. Avoid Le tripica (tiny portions). Casa Italia great but needs booking. Pizza and pasta does huge pizzas can share. Vietnamese Along Beach good. Go to duck island. If not doing yellow boat deck hair package 2500 get the 1000 grey boat and go to the left of island for nice sand to sit on. Great snorkelling. Can snorkel off rocks (climb down) in lemon bay Maître island bit disappointing / poor snorkelling, no turtles Hang out at beach in evening with the locals - really nice vibe

Having read mixed reviews on Tripadvisor, we were unsure what we would find. We have returned from a great holiday, most of the negatives we had read were not our reality. The staff, despite the language barrier, were without exception helpful, friendly and courteous. A couple of minor issues were dealt with speedily - an English/French dictionary would have been helpful for communicating technical issues not covered by tourist phrase books! The apartment was huge, light and clean, if a little dated in places. Bedroom large, plenty of wardrobe space/hangers, and shelving. Queen bed was comfortable, with quality sheets and a duvet. Kitchen reasonably well equipped, with induction hob, oven, microwave, coffee maker, but were glad we took a good kitchen knife and a dish brush and dishcloths. Bathroom was big, clean and no issues with hot water; shower towels/bathmat supplied, but take your own face cloths. The balcony was large and sheltered, with great views over the Baie des Citrons and lovely sunsets. Clothes washing not a problem with a good washing machine and large clothes airer. Apartment was not serviced, so you are responsible for taking the rubbish out - not a problem. You have to provide subsequent rubbish bags, and also toilet paper. At the end of the stay, you undertake to leave the apartment in a clean state - a broom and dustpan-and-brush is provided. The building is in a good location, less than 2 minutes walk to the bus stop and Baie des Citrons beach, and close to multiple cafes/bars/eateries. A small but adequate supermarket is an easy 15-20 mins walk away, also close to bus stops and an excellent bus service. Food prices are pretty close to NZ prices, so no nasty surprises there. We had read one review on this site that said beaches were closed until the end of 2023 - this is not so! The Baie des Citrons beach is completely open, while the Anse Vata beach is having work done along the promenade and small sections are closed, depending on where work is being carried out. We were there during the last week of July and the first week of August. Had a lovely holiday in an excellent location, and recommend the Casa del Sole as a well-priced and pleasant place to stay.
Clean hotel in the heart of Baie des Citrons, with plenty of restaurants in walking distance. (Would like to rate as 3 1/2 stars but not possible.) Staff were friendly and efficient, booking airport transport with ‘Arc en Ciel’ before our arrival. (Rental cars have street parking near the hotel, and we always found a spot.). The only ocean swimming allowed in Noumea currently is in a small roped-off area across the street. Lagoon View rooms, some with balconies, look great but are quite noisy unless you are a nightclubber yourself. After three nights of hearing the nearby club music until 3.30 am, as well as cars racing past and people yelling on the beach and footpath ALL night long, we moved into a garden room which was perfect for us. Management were quite helpful facilitating this changeover. Babar below the hotel had good food, and there are plenty of other dining options nearby.
2nd visit to Noumea after staying at Hilton Le Promenade approx 4 yrs ago Originally staying in a standard one bedroom we upgraded to a full ocean view room. Standard one bedrooms just aren't worth it view wise, gotta ask the point of them really. Hotel is nice and clean, rooms are ok and the beds are quite hard, it's good they are self contained, a convenience shop on site would be really good given the self contained nature. There was only one full time English tv channel (BBC World) Internet was very limited in the one bedroom apartment (256mb a day) and then it cost, 30gb in the ocean view. Was unable to swim due to recent shark attacks closing beaches and pool seemed to be cooled, was way to cold to stay in any longer then 5 to 7 mins which was really disappointing given the beach was off limits. We also dropped the daily breakfast as compared to Fiji it was incredibly disappointing Tried the spa next door at additional cost and was good as was the massage. Room service was very good and could be requested daily if needed. Staff at front desk very helpful, shout out to Juliette who was always courteous and nice and tried to help. There was a real lack of cooperation and coordination with tourist activities and suppliers especially when there was no swimming. Many had cut back days they operated If you wonder why a lovely pool is empty on a tropical island... it's because it's so cold. The front desk could really do with a tourism desk and offer services like they do in Fiji with hotel pick up etc... there really did seem to be no interest in this area and new caledonia tourism arm needs to realise the other pacific countries are way better at this than them. With the beach shut and the pool cold it made for a bit of disappointment really Staff were nice and rooms clean, beautiful view from room 420. Stayed 7 days
Pro: Large Room, smelt clean, lots of storage, great bathroom amenities. Pool was a lovely area, lots of lounges, and umbrellas and had a child safety fence. Plenty of space in breakfast room. Well maintained gardens. Polite staff. Con Bedhead in room horrible large yellow stain. No arm chair in room only desk chair Lamp shades stained with mould Shower flooded very badly large amount of water to bedroom. Took all towels to mop up No face cloths, No fresh milk, fridge essentially at room temp. No hotel shops, for snacks, incidentals or souvenirs. No bottled water , requested bucket of ice from reception never arrived. No map, tourist info, spa menu, room service menu available. Resort Map bad photo copy. Garden view overlooked a group of cars like a random car park amongst palm trees Adjoining room lock not very secure- not good as a solo traveler. External furniture included a comfortable lounge but stained so covered with a sheet Toilets at pool run down, three locks on door don’t work. Ordered room service didn’t arrive, called receptionist who after 20 minutes didn’t answer went to reception 5 people waiting , a number of people with complaints, and when i followed up room service it arrived 15 minutes later by apologetic, out of breath staff member. Food was good but cold. Breakfast had a good range, but food was cold, room lacked ambience. No ATM. Not enough staff, no follow through on requests. Clearly in some maintenance, staffing, service, and quality really lacking post COVID needs some considerable attention to detail. Lacking the basics of a supposed 5* hotel. I’ll be going back to Fiji , Cook island’s or elsewhere next time.
Very welcoming and responsive staff without forgetting their kindness
The hotel is very well located for someone who does not have a car
And the decor is just wow
Great hotel. Has all the basic things you need. Fast WiFi. Aircon. Great breakfast, and awesome friendly service. Close to a few bus stops and within walking distance to centre of noumea.
I arrived very late, close to midnight, and had sent the hotel an email notifying them of this. However, I never received any reply. On arrival, though, reception was open and I was quickly checked in by a friendly receptionist who spoke some English – not much, but we got along. My ”deluxe” room on the second floor was, according to the floor plan, the smallest room on the whole floor and the only one without a bathtub. Nothing deluxe about it, quite the opposite. The hotel really lives up to its name, Le Paris, as Paris is full of these ubiquitous three star hotels with dated, cramped rooms. My room felt reasonably clean, however, it reeked of decades of cigarette smoking and could really use a refresh. There was a soft bed called a double, but it would be narrow for two, a desk and chair as well as a fridge that was not turned on. The safe worked, the A/C was effective and the wifi was reliable albeit a little slow. There was a clock on the wall, however, it did not work. There were no water bottles in the room, but they had some for sale downstairs. The bathroom was small and came with a shower cubicle where the handheld shower had good water pressure and ample hot water. The only amenities provided were two wall-mounted containers: hand soap and a combined hair and body soap. Check-out time was 10:30 am, which must be the earliest check-out time I have ever seen. A ”late” check-out at noon would have incurred an extra charge of approx. 25 €. I could levae my bag at reception for a few hours on checking out, though. I stayed here for one night because I had a late arrival and I also wanted to see the city centre before moving to a beach hotel in Anse Vata. For this purpose, the hotel did its job, but I would not be happy staying here for more than one night. The hotel enjoys a very central location two blocks from Place des Cocotiers and is within easy walking distance to anything in the city centre. The cathedral is right behind the hotel, and you are reminded by this each hour as the church bells ring, day and night. I paid 71 €, no breakfast included, and felt the hotel was more or less worth the price.
