"I was disappointed. I stayed at this hotel on the South Island in April 2019. I felt that the location was good. This time the whole family came to New Zealand to come to Akaroa. I still chose this one. The only heater on the wall in the room at night was heated for 3 minutes, and then it was cold wind. The hot water in front of the bath water is not hot after people use it, Wi-Fi is also very slow, sometimes the network is disconnected, choose carefully."
"The motel is located a bit away from the main wharf and from all the main stores in town but still within walkable distance. The room was really clean and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. There's also an outdoor seating from our room which was nice for having breakfast."
"The location is very good, there are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, waterside and parking. The boss is very good, the check-in and check-out procedures are very simple"
"What can you say. The room where we stayed was about a minutes walk from the marina and our first floor room looked directly out onto the main street and the bay.
We had the ideal view of the bay and we're able to watch the sunset with a glass of wine sitting on the balcony of our apartment.
Because of that great location, we had a very quick and straightforward journey to get to the dolphin watching tour that was operated out of the Marina.
Shops and restaurants within quick walking distance, you couldn't ask for a better location."
"One of the best equipped bnbs we have stayed at, after experiencing almost a hundred all over the world
It is actually a gem in Akaroa for the following reasons:
- NZ heritage house;
- Sumptuous breakfast;
- antique furniture and decoration;
- quiet but easily accessible to supermarkets and restaurants;
- Responsive host;
- lovely welcome treats;
- Facilities just as described, almost brand new, wonderful"
