This hotel presents as nothing special, but we had a lovely and comfortable stay. The rooms, bathroom and decor are quite dated, but are immaculately presented. The location is slightly out of the CBD and whilst you can see a supermarket and variety store across the road, there is no (obvious) direct access, so you need a car to get about. The location is quiet, but there is a bit of noise from neighbouring rooms, especially when the shower is running. When we turned off the light, there was a lot of light entering the room and we expected a disturbed night, but we were delighted that sometime around midnight they dimmed considerably so our sleep was quite good. I wish more motels would dim their external lighting as the night draws on. The hosts were attentive and welcoming and we enjoyed some nice interaction with them. This is a motel that's far from perfect, but where the positives far outweigh the negative. We would definitely recommend it and stay there again.
The hotel belongs to the typical Holiday Park. There is a public kitchen, bathroom and shower room. It is a bit cold in winter, but the heating is very good. After the quilt is there, the clerk is now letting us take it. The hygiene can only be said to be acceptable. It’s not very convenient to get the door, but there are children playing, and the children are happy.
We Stayed 2 nights with no issues at these comfortable and clean accommodations. But due to chronic pain health issues for my husband he was unable to get up and leave for the usual checkout time. This happens occasionally for him and out of his control. I asked for late checkout for 1 pm but was told this was not allowed and this created great problems for bookings in the place. ( which was not full on a monday night) For us to stay till 1 pm just 2 hours later, i would have to pay 130$ for an extra night . There was no interest in our dilemma no half day rate no extended late checkout.. Left with no other choice we paid the 130$ with the intent to leave at one. However as we had paid , we stayed in the room till 4 pm before leaving for home. Headed home to Christchurch feeling bruised and bereft of the usual kiwi understanding and hospitality.

Arrived at the hotel a little bit late for the check-in, but the reception was very accommodating and still processed for us with a big smile and was very friendly!
Rooms were very clean, complete with AC and heater, towels provided as well.
Laundry avail for use (paid use only and hours apply)
Beds were nice, great amenities! With full kitchen including fridge, stove, microwave and washing sink. Cooking utensils and pots pans avail too.
Wasn't expecting much for a motel but this was actually a really great and comfortable stay!
Short 2 to 5min drive to nearest supermarkets and petrol stations
Overall it's not bad, it should be a better motel there. The room is very spacious and you can cook by yourself. The bathroom is also very clean and spacious. The only downside is that the bed is very soft, but most foreigners are like this. The hotel was almost empty because of the epidemic, but it was kept clean. If you have to stop at Greymouth, it is a good choice.
I stayed for 2 nights while on business in Greymouth. I had a suite with its own bedroom, and separate lounge/ kitchen and bathroom with shower. The whole place was spotlessly clean and comfortable with all amenities for a relaxing evening after the working day. There is fresh milk provided on arrival and some shortbreads which were delicious. There is free unlimited wifi, a tv in lounge and bedroom (obviously the studios would only have one) and the place was quiet and restful at night. Highly recommended if you need to stay over in Greymouth for work or otherwise.
Stayed in this room, excellent bed, comfortable as. Friendly hosts and interesting conversation about history of place. Enjoyed hot coal fire in the living room at night and the use of courtesy bike to get around given limitations with walking. Enjoyed my time here and would definitely stay again.
I have nothing but the highest praise for the incredible service and hospitality we all received at Aalchen Place Hotel. Michelle, the manager, went beyond the call of duty to help us with our transportation challenges. She was unbelievably accommodating and willing to do whatever she could to ensure that our stay was a very pleasant and comfortable one. The beds were so very comfortable with the rooms, themselves, impeccably clean and beautifully presented. Thank you, Michelle, for all you did for us. Lee (one of the 5 ‘mad’ Aussies).
It is a hotel where I would like to stay next time. The surroundings were quiet. I think the hotel service is good. There was a feeling of cleanliness in the room.
We stayed there for 2 nights in 2007, we couldn't go back that far. Must have been different owners and we stayed in off-peak so it was very quiet. It was clean and our double bed room was comfortable. Great historic building with such awesome interesting themed rooms. It was more than fine for us and reasonably priced compared to possibly finer hotels but this was way more homely, quaint and interesting. I believe the kitchen was as good as any decent backpackers. We weren't disappointed as were not wanting a millionaire accommodation hotel but a warm atmosphere.

The Great Coast Road
燃燃烧生命的小胖妞There is such a coastal road in Melbourne, which is a paradise for self-driving travel enthusiasts. This is Ocean Road. Ocean Road was actually built to commemorate the soldiers of World War I. There were many surviving veterans involved in it at the beginning of the establishment, so it was of great significance. The 300-kilometer ocean road, which was built, also attracted many people to visit, where you can see the waves beating the beach.
Motukiekie Beach Walk

Monteith's Brewery
TTodemmy[View] The brewery is very special, there will be a very detailed introduction, the brewing of beer and nutritional value analysis, special experience [interest] There are many thoughts to play, the scenery is also great! recommend
Southern Breakwater Viewing Platform
王王海娃子The climate change on the west coast of New Zealand's South Island is more complicated. As the warm and humid air currents from the sea encounter the obstruction of the Southern Alps when they come ashore, the weather is changeable and rainy, and the weather is unpredictable.
