This is a very well kept, modern, and clean motel. My partner and I were really impressed and happy during the stay. The owner is also really friendly and kind, and offered lots of tips and suggestions for our time in Kaitaia. Strongly recommend.

Stopped for 1 night and had a good nights sleep, Comfortable bed with lovely sheets, great hot shower and fluffy towels. The bathroom floor did look like it could do with a good clean and the internet is terrible. We could hear road noise and in the morning could hear people moving around upstairs. It is an older style motel but the price reflects this.

Great location. Our host Jenny made sure we had everything we needed and gave good recommendations for dinner and breakfast. We arrived quite late on a stat holiday and she even took the time to call around to see which place was open. They have a guest laundry area with washer and dryer, as well as a few clothes lines to hang your things. There is a lovely kitty that greets you when you return from your day’s travel. We used this as a base for trips to Cape Reinga and Gumdiggers Forest. Highly recommend both experiences. Stopped at a small roadside store and had local Hokey Pokey ice cream. Delish!
