"The staff were so nice and accommodating. They truly cared for us when the earthquake happened on the night we were sleeping in our rooms. We used the stairs from the 5th floor post incident fearing for the aftershocks…we all stayed by the under renovation pool to stay away from the building in case it collapsed. The building swayed so much with the 6.9 magnitude..it was scary. The staff were calm and kept us all comfortable despite being scared themselves too. They helped us all moved to the 2nd floor after midnight post safety inspection."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. Solea Mactan is far from the city but everything you need is in the hotel already. We loved how they value those families traveling because they have a play area for kids and kids at heart. There are also lots of swimming pools although I think the beach area could be better. They also have these freebies which we really appreciated. Breakfast was also good!"

"I'm kinda disappointed in my stay here because the fact that I compared this branch with Panglao branch, so i was expecting the same amenities. The service were the same all smiles to all the customers but I'm disappointed for the amenities because my room doesn't have hot shower and the building needs for detailed upgrade. I booked on this building as I was hoping it's newly renovated the place was new however some furniture way outdated and needs a more thorough upgrade. Love the earth restaurant still 🩷🧡💛"

Melanie the housekeeper was always greeting people with a smile and if you needed help all the staff had radios to contact each other to help. I was impressed by how well they got the place working and cleaned after the last very big typhoon, the place looked like it never was hit! Finally as an added touch, having my clothes washed and dried smelling really good was perfect."

"I stayed in a 6-person room for a day with a family I became close with in the Philippines. Although the overall facilities are a bit old, I think it is a great resort considering the price. It is said that new double rooms were recently built near the main entrance, but I was unable to check their condition as I could not use them. The exterior looked neat. This resort is very popular with local residents. You can think of it as a resort with general Filipino services rather than targeting foreigners. You will need to be a little patient when checking in and out, and you will also need to be patient and wait for your food, so we recommend that you always order or move about 30 minutes in advance. Instead, the waiter will bring it directly to you in front of your room or wherever you want in the resort, and you can eat there. Some seats are right within 2 meters of the pool, so you can enjoy a beer and a meal while watching the kids. Day use is 80 pesos per person as of December 23. You can use the facilities until late in the evening at a fairly reasonable price, so we split the room into two groups: members who slept in a 6-person room and members who went home to work the next day. If I come next time, I'm thinking about having the whole family just use it for day use. It is also lenient on smokers. Of course, smoking is not allowed inside the pool, but the smoking area is flexible and spacious so as not to inconvenience other customers. However, there are no commercial areas outside the resort and it is a local residential area. Therefore, it would be safer and better to ask the tricycle driver if he can show you around for about 100 pesos, ride around, and get off when you arrive at a place that seems safe. The local neighborhood right in front of the resort is a little dark at night, but if you go just 300 to 400 meters to the side, you can see Cordoba City Hall, police station, fire station, large cathedral, and its own downtown Cordoba."
