We spent 4 nights here in Early Nov. and we had such a great experience! Our large 1 bdrm cabin was spacious and clean and had room to stretch out on a nice sofa with a coffee table. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics and there is even a really great sounding Bluetooth speaker. We loved the little desk area for plotting our travels in Yosemite. The welcome card has great little QR codes with links to sightseeing, local restaurants, and even a list of all the items you can find in their camp store. There were some vintage Saturday Evening Post magazines from the 60’s that were fun to flip through while sitting on our deck and enjoying a beverage from the adorable little camp store on the property. The little store has such a great curated selection of snacks and beverages and sundries and lots of little items that you might have forgotten to pack! We had beautiful weather (70’s day/40’s night) and we took advantage of the lovely hiking trails on the property and we used the complimentary bikes on the paved pathways that wind around the property beyond the clubhouse. They have several really interesting large sculptures and art pieces scattered around the grounds along the pathways to keep things interesting too! We saw so much wildlife on our excursions (even a cute little bobcat) and at night there was an amazing concert at the intimate little clubhouse music venue! The event was even catered with delicious dinner options and there is a bar with super friendly tenders keeping the party going during and after the show. Everything is really well thought out and organized and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back!
There were three of us staying in the room; Two adults and a ten-year old child. When we checked in the woman at the office was quick to tell us she had to put towels in the room. We waited then it took 2 or 3 trips back to the office to finally get 3 towels. Our room had only half a roll of toilet paper. I went to the office and asked for more and she gave more when she gave me the towels. There is no cell phone service and no phones in the room. To talk to the front desk requires walking or driving to the office. The TV didn’t work. We went to get her and she said she’d fix it while we were out to dinner. That never happened. “No signal” was all that shown on the screen. Pushing on all the buttons on the remote control didn’t help. When it came time for showers, we discovered we had no wash cloths. Because the office was closed and we couldn’t find the woman we used the kitchen towel for a wash cloth. The office driveway was gated and a car had parked blocking entrance the rest of the day. At check-in the woman was quick to tell us she was proud she had put clean sheets on the fold-out sofa bed. When the time came for bed, we found one pillow in the closet but no pillow case. Oh well. We had to use one of our t-shirts as a pillow case. On a shelf in the bedroom nightstand was a large ring of master keys for all buildings (?). The A/C doesn’t cool the cottage. It ran all afternoon and the temperature got down to 85 degrees which is better than 95 degrees outdoors in mid-June. We carry our own thermometer. When the sun went down the room lowered to 83 degrees. We opened all the windows and the refrigerator and freezer doors to cool it down to 81 degrees where it stayed all night. The cabin had a coffee pot and coffee but no cream, and no one in the office to ask. To get cream for the coffee in the morning was a 30 minute round-trip drive to the nearest Valero gas station and market. No decaf coffee either, so another drive to Oakhurst. Their Facebook and Yelp pages advertise as “Bed and Breakfast”. That’s not true. Bring your own breakfast or go to a restaurant. We have stayed here in years past several times and enjoyed it, but these incompetencies are probably the result of new ownership and new management. For $ 280 a night you’d expect more.
We went out of our way on our way back to SanFrancisco after staying in Yosemite for a few nights. The Inn was lovely. The owner designed and decorated it to feel like a chateau in France.. it was beyond our expectations. We also had dinner in the separate restaurant on the grounds. This restaurant was well beyond our expectations. We have eaten in many 5 star restaurants along the east coast. This one was by far the best we have been to. The service and food were outstanding!! Looking forward to coming back in the future!!

DO NOT STAY HERE! This place is beyond disgusting, unsafe, and unprofessional. I booked a room with 2 queen beds for one night for 3 adults. The room we were given had one bed and a mattress for us to sleep on. The actual bed didn't have any blankets, only a sheet and some pillows. The mattress didn't even have that, it was just a stained fitted sheet that looked like it hadn't been washed. We searched the entire room for blankets or even a single pillow/top sheet for the mattress but there was nothing in the room. I went to the front desk and asked the manager if we could have some pillows and blankets since our room had none. She told us we didn't ”need any” since it was ”warm enough” at night. We told her we wanted bedding even if it was ”warm enough” (<55ºF that night) and she then said the owner didn't let them wash blankets in the summer and that all the pillows and sheets were ”lost” at other properties. I kept insisting and finally she gave me 2 thin white sheets that both had brown stains all over them, telling me to use one as a pillow. I walked away in shock not believing that a hotel I payed $150 to stay one night at refused to give me bedding. To keep the rest short, Once we realized how bad the situation was, we tried to find a room anywhere else in town but there was nothing available within such short notice. It was already late and we had just driven 5 hours from home so we decided to leave very early the next morning to get out of there as soon as possible. Besides the strange and upsetting interaction with the front desk, we also found that the shower had no shower head, the toilet paper roll holder was ripped off the wall and a used roll was sitting on the counter instead, the bathroom sink was covered in dried toothpaste and green mold, the pot for a large decorative plant was filled with trash, the only ”lock” on the door was a key code (that was known by the staff) and a broken latch bolt that didn't even stay on the door, and finally, a DEAD LIZARD in the cabinet next to the bed! It almost felt like a sick joke or a scam. I am horrified that this is how we were treated.
I reviewed this Motel on Tripadvisor due to the rate and reviews I felt confident staying at this facility. As a result of my stay, 23 May-25 May I no longer have confidence in Tripadvisor. On the front door of Oakhurst Lodge is a Tripadvisor decal. At check-in I inquired about a booking fee I was charged at the Oakhurst Lodge website. This had never occurred before when using Tripadvisor. I asked the location of the ice machine, only at this time I was told there was no functioning ice machine. Due to ants and a stale smoke odor, in a non-smoking, room I was provided another room. The room had frayed carpeting, paint spots over areas on the walls and where the lavatory counter was repaired, bathroom door was damaged from something hitting it. The outside chairs provided for the room were stained, upholstery torn with exposed foam padding. The picture of room posted on Tripadvisor gives someone considering booking this lodging a FALSE impression. One positive for Oakhurst lodge the bathroom except the window sill, lavatory, microwave, mini refrigerator and bed linens were clean. The beds linens were clean. The beds did not appear as nice as the picture displayed on Tripadvisor. I did share my concerns and that I would be writing a review about my stay with the recommendation to others to NOT stay here. The front desk person was polite and seemed receptive to my concerns. There are other places to stay in Oakhurst that provide better breakfast, a workout room, larger, better maintain rooms for about $10.00/night more. Beware of the Oakhurst Lodge.
It was a nice experience. The food was really good at the restaurant and the service even better. It was obviously fully booked since it is the highest season for the surroundings, but that didn’t affected the good service and attitude of the staff. We were very satisfied!

It has everything I needed for my vaca. Breakfast, Gym and pool. Lauren from front desk allowed me to check in early since my flight got to Fresno in the morning and I was very tired. She and Daniel, the general manager are great host and made me feel welcome. I stayed there 8 nights and did not regret it. I do not write reviews too much but I felt this one deserve a great review.
