I along with a team of colleagues stayed at the Bridgeport TownePlace for several months while working on a project in the area and can't say enough good things about the awesome staff and their willingness to accommodate our team. Even at a place like TownePlace that offers many homey creature comforts like a kitchenette and free laundry, being away from home for extended periods of time isn't always the greatest, but Ms. Rainie at the front desk in particular showed a willingness to go the extra mile to show great customer service and help make our extended stay away from home a little more bearable.

The one thing I can say about our room was that the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff were pleasant. Otherwise, the rooms are very used, there was mold on the ceiling in the shower, mildew in all the corners of the shower and outside the shower. The wash basin wood frame had multiple worn off spots. There was a black spot on our blanket. The choice of breakfast was underwhelming. A man went up to the bagels and just kept touching all of them to decide which one he wanted. Obviously not thinking of anyone but himself. The hotel is not too interested in any guests who are not fans of Fox News. Because Fox News is playing at breakfast. Maybe they don't consider that there are other guests who either don't enjoy that channel or don't like to watch news at all with their breakfast. But it appears we were wrong about that. This hotel is perfect for those predominating guests. We have stayed in other hotels in very conservative areas and they had something more neutral on the television. If you are like us and prefer a more welcoming and neutral atmosphere I suggest staying in Morgantown. We wish that we did.

Really friendly staff. Answered all my questions . The place is mostly clean -
I jd a two bed room and one. We sheets weren’t changed
On one bed but thankfully other bed clean. The walls, floors old,
Stained. Minimal room amenities . Again the room was clean mostly… bathroom was clean I was thankful. The breakfast was pretty good it was fresh. The kitchen server was extremely polite and courteous. She was wonderful. The desk staff evening was really helpful made a map copy for me and the manager gave me a discount I wasn’t aware of…. No elevator… as I’m disabled made it hard - Overall nice experience and all I really needed was sleep! So good. There is a gum next
Door and that is pretty nice if I had time but I didn’t. But I understand gym is high quality . The pool is rather ucky but people were swimming so??? Good base hotel to sleep… location is ok. Fast on interstate

We stayed here for two nights. Very clean rooms. The employees always greeted us with smiles and welcomes. The breakfast was delicious. Karri made cookies in the afternoon and was so nice. We have stayed here a few times and have always had a good experience.
I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and politeness of the management team when I first arrived. The manager answered every question I had about the area and even recommended some great places for my friends and I to visit. The room was clean, well-made, and spacious. I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the beds were as well! Overall, I rate this motel 5/5 for anyone driving through the area wanting a nice, clean place to stay!!
We spent two nights here recently. For the first time ever, after we checked into our room and were relaxing, someone came in. Apparently, there was a mix-up in the rooms and they had put us into the wrong room. Some poor teenage boy got an eyeful of naked middle-aged lady boobs. Probably scarred for life. There was only one person on staff at the time and loads of people arriving for some kind of basketball tournament. However, our room was clean, very quiet, and the guest laundry worked great. This hotel is located a bit out of Clarksburg proper. Yes, breakfast is paid for ($10 per person) and you have to preorder the night before. We had no problem with the internet. The bed was a bit hard for me, but other than that it was fine and great for the price.
For $90 it was a nice room...BUT. One night a year in August a charity group called ”Party with a Purpose” holds a gala in a tent about 500 ft. across the road from the Microtel. As it so happens, that was my night. Microtel doesn't have the best sound proofing and it was no match for the bass beat of the party band. Every thump came into my first floor room. It was like being in a box with your heartbeat being played over a speaker. I asked the front desk guy if he could do anything. No. The party was not associated with them. I went across the road to the Wyndham hotel right next to the party. Could they do anything? No. It wasn't affiliated with them and the guy said he ”caught hell every year” from his guests about it. I went back to my Microtel. I asked the Microtel guy if he had a room on the side away from the band. No. He had only one open room...the room above mine on the second floor. I borrowed the key to check it out. Oddly, it was quieter...apparently the bass traveled through the ground to my first floor room. I moved upstairs, put in my earplugs and went to sleep. The party was still on at 11. Early in the morning I took out the earplugs because the party was over. Then the rhino that was staying in the room above me woke up and thumped across the floor...remember the lack of soundproofing? Back in went the earplugs until I got up later to start my day. My advice...take earplugs if you stay in a Microtel and avoid this one in August.

RRickH733Check in was quick. Guy was nice and got us on our way. Had 2 rooms. Both clean and king bed was great to sleep on. Breakfast was busy Saturday morning with WVU and Penn St fans. Nothing ran out and the hot cheese was awesome to put on sausage and eggs. 5 star stay and staff was all helpful and courteous.

CCasieThe Hotel was very clean. The service was very good. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We had messed up the day of our check-in. They were very nice and helped us to get a room very late in the night. I would definitely recommend staying here.
