There are two outdoor tables one that seats 4 and the smaller one 2 with chairs. Parking: There are 2 spots on the steep driveway and two in the garage. The garage can be accessed by the keypad provided out front. There is parking on the street in front of the house. Both also have a hot plate to warm up soup, cook eggs and such - but no aromatic foods please like bacon or fish. That is because the kitchenettes do not have an exhaust vent for cooking odors.COFFE, TEAS & MOREThe cupboards are stocked with great coffee with pour-over coffee makers and a large selection of top quality teas, plus makings for hot cocoa and hot cereals, and some individually sized cold cereals. A few fun snack treats are also provided, along with a few juices, small bottled waters, half-n-half milkette creamers (single serving half-n-half's) for your coffee or tea, with an ice tray in the freezer section.LIVING AREASThe main living room has a coffee table, two couches and a big, comfortable chair for reading and relaxation, with a kitchenette off in one corner. The second bedroom, which is a studio apartment connected via a hallway, also has a small kitchenette and a living area with comfortable seating. Both have a few books for children plus some thought-provoking books for adults, such as "The Four Agreements" and "The Power of Now".DINING AREASThe unit has a round granite-topped dining table that will seat 4 to 5 people, and two two other small tables. There are also outdoor dining areas with dramatic ocean views on both of the decks! (See pictures.)WI-FIThere is excellent Wi-Fi but no TV, so plan to relax, read or take your coffee out to sit on one of the decks to enjoy the breathtaking views; from there you can see dozens of rocky outcroppings, large sea stacks and sandy beaches all along the coast.BEACH ACCESSWe're located on a cliff directly above the beach with no current access all the way down the side of the cliff to the beach below, but it is just a two minute drive to beach-level parking on North Harris Beach at Harris Beach State Park.SOUTH HARRIS BEACHSouth Harris Beach, which is one of the best ocean beaches on the Oregon coast, is even closer; it is just a ten minute walk or a one minute drive to get there. And it almost never has people on it because you have to walk down the side of a cliff on a paved path to get to it, and because very few tourists know about it.LONE RANCH BEACHLone Ranch Beach with lots of tide pools with starfish and other sea life is a four minute drive north.HARBOR BEACHThe magnificent driftwood covered beach at the harbor is just five minutes south.SECRET BEACHSecret Beach is wild and scenic and it's just a quick 10 or 12 minute drive north on US Highway 101.WHALE WATCHINGResident gray whales can be seen all year but they are more frequently spotted in the summer and fall when they feed closer to shore. We also have thousands more migrating whales along the Oregon coast every year, going south, between mid-December & mid-January and they start returning up the Oregon toward to Alaska every year in between late March and June.REDWOOD NATURE TRAILWalking under the canopy of a redwood forest is like being in a natural cathedral. The mile long and quite walkable Redwood Nature Trail is just 9 miles away. And world famous Jedediah Smith Redwoods Park is just 22 miles south on US Highway 101.WILD RIVERSThe Chetco River, with some of the best salmon runs in the world plus a lot of trout and steelhead, runs right through Brookings.
