They unilaterally preauthorize pet cleaning fees for service animals in violation of the ADA. Very shady business practice. Beginning deposit was 75, the preauthorize total became 161 approximately, or an 86 dollar arbitrary additional fee. Encourage anyone else experiencing this to contact attorney if you are disabled and discriminated against. Establishments are not allowed to impose barriers but are REQUIRED by civil law to eliminate them. I am a working professional with a service animal, smooth and consistent rules applied equally are greatly important to me to reduce hassles like these for my work to be optimal

Did I spend roughly $50 (pre-tax & tip) on a lobster roll and a glass of prosecco? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes. I'm going to touch on other aspects of my stay, but I can't believe how many fresh tasting, big, succulent chunks of lobster were in this hotel lounge lobster roll. It's cold & mayo based, which I know isn't for everyone (I see you got buttered lobster roll people and I understand completely; I'm just an equal opportunist when it comes to lobster rolls), but it was really good - like, not good for a hotel lounge, but good good. Yum! Ok, so why 4 stars? If it were based on the hospitality of the staff alone, I'd give it 6. Every staff member I encountered was genuinely affable - some were more outgoing than others, sure, but I appreciate mellow kindness. Also, this might be the first time I've remembered to pack all of my extra little charging stations, and I didn't even need them. So many conveniently placed outlets and USB ports - and the main room light was warm toned and welcoming, which is also a little treat :) I had to take away a star because of the general noise. My sleep wasn't disturbed, because I always travel with hardcore ear plugs and a sleep mask, but I couldn't close the curtains all the way (even with the pants hanger clip trick) so there was light coming in, and I could hear everything in the hall. Also plumbing noises (like pipes pinging and gurgling - nothing alarming, just...mildly intrusive). I was also disappointed that there wasn't a laundry bag or dry cleaning service like there are in the other Marriotts I've stayed in; I want to call myself out on not going to the front desk to ask specifically for this, but every other Marriott I've been in has a laundry bag with a dry cleaning order form in the closet. There also weren't any extra blankets in the closet; again, I didn't ask the front for one (and I'm sure they would have given one to me) but I wish there had been one in the room as it was super comfortable until I woke up at 2 am - which is really late and inconvenient to realize you need extra blankets. Ok, so that's why I took away a star. The other 4 are for the friendly staff, incredibly convenient location (anywhere I didn't walk, I took a Bluebike from the stand right outside), gorgeous fitness center (Pelotons?! What?!), and general cleanliness. If I come back to Boston/Cambridge for work, I'm 100% staying here. (If I come for pleasure, I'd probably try a quaint inn or something, but honestly I'd likely stay here the final night of my trip because it is also FIFTEEN MINUTES from the airport. But with a great river view, and no plane noises.) More on the location: walk to the river, and across the Harvard bridge. You're literally right there, and it's a great way to see the city (and while there's a CVS across the street, the one over the bridge is in a historic building. I'm from California, so to me that is very special 😂). It also takes 15 minutes to walk to the Cambridgeside Galleria if you n

More like a family hotel, the design of the house is very characteristic, very warm, the room is small, breakfast is very close to Harvard, can walk, but the parking space is very small, we went late, parked in a parking space Location, I originally wanted to park the hotel the next morning, go to Harvard, but the hotel said that the location of our car is not good, we have to leave when we check out. As a result, we are looking for parking lots everywhere. It is very expensive and the parking fee is very expensive. I went to live in the parking lot and said that it was not good to park near Harvard. In the end, I was looking for a parking lot everywhere. It took time and money, and the hotel price was not high.

My husband and I were so impressed with the front desk, particularly, Mr. Bishop. He was extremely welcoming, and knowledgeable and answered all of our many questions about what to see and do in Cambridge and the Boston area. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable – we had everything we needed and more! We really enjoyed the sunny window seat. The housekeeping staff, too, was very accommodating. Valet parking was quick and efficient. We loved walking into Cambridge and venturing into Back Bay on the T. We only wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely return again soon! Thank you to the entire staff and a special shout out to Mr. Bishop!

The hotel is small, but the furniture and bathroom are new and have no odor. The bed and quilt pillows are super comfortable and will not cause the sound of salsa to affect sleep. There are not many types of breakfast, it is delicious. Great location, 10 minutes walk to the MIT Museum. There is a seafood restaurant across the road from the hotel and the lobster is great. The staff is also very warm and thoughtful. By the way, it is incredible that the room is also prepared with free snacks and fruit.

A famous place opened by a Chinese couple. The room I live in is a basement and the bathroom is shared. There was a little smell in the room that day, but it was ok. There are Chinese fast food restaurants in the surrounding area and a big supermarket. The room is equipped with a kitchen.

Due to the change of travel plan, before leaving, I hurried to Trip.com to find hotels near the destination and chose No. 907 Songdel Main Street, which is both distance and cost-effective. The room is in a good location, complete facilities, easy to use, wifi is unblocked, and the stay is very comfortable.

The maintenance of this property is abysmal. We were arriving from an international trip and wanted to sleep off our jet lag and visit our adult child living in the area. We arrived exhausted to find a bloody toilet seat, dirty bathroom, peeling paint from the ceiling, moldy bathroom and dusty room. When we called the desk to mention it- they said they would send housekeeping. They didn't offer to change our room- and we were so tired- we didn't ask. Housekeeper arrived (and entered without us opening the door) to clean the bathroom only. But clearly missed a lot of corners. The next day they offered to change our room-but we were too tired and busy to change- in the window of time that they offered us, so ended up staying in the filth. The bed was quite worn/spongy and didn't support us at all. The sofa bed mattress didn't have a mattress cover available. The view of the trash and T tracks were unappealing. The room was rather small/tight for 3,too. It was hysterical that we were sent emails confirming the hotel's commitment to COVID cleanliness. No hotel employees were masked. The best part of the stay was the good coffee always available in the lobby and the access to Cambridge and the T. I am a Bonvoy Gold member and expect a minimum quality to Marriott properties-this property was below all standards. It was the only time I was not recognized as a Bonvoy elite member too. When we complained about the filth- the hotel offered to refund us 1 night- but charged us the full amount. It only refunded AFTER we complained that there was a billing error. This hotel is not worth more than $300 per night. Look elsewhere.

Breakfast costs $ 20, but the hotel is connected to Starbucks, so you can choose Star Dad. Or Dunkin Donuts on the side, which is also a very earthy breakfast chain (similar to Bobby steamed buns or Shaxian, but the quality is stable). Location is relatively close to the city, 10 minutes walk from the Red Line subway, there is a fresh pond opposite, the environment is good. The hotel should be pet friendly, with guests and dogs. A little bit of trouble is that after Ctrip booked the hotel, the hotel charge was more than 100 yuan more than the room rate, and the pre-authorization deposit of 50 yuan was checked on the spot and paid separately. This is far worse than the Ctrip customer service has not yet received a response and solution. In addition, most of the waiters in the hotel are black, and the service awareness is slightly poor. One day I came back once in the afternoon, and I used to put the tip for the next day on the bedside table, but I came back at night and found that it was gone ...

What travellers say about Cambridge attractions

Discover these places worth visiting in Cambridge and select a hotel nearby for ultimate convenience

Harvard University

GGrace_cytHarvard University in Boston is one of the most influential universities in the world and is a place that many students aspire to visit. When we went there, there were students protesting and many tents were set up on the lawn of the campus, so the school gate was temporarily closed and not open to the public. It was a pity that we were unable to visit. There are many restaurants, cafes, small shops, etc. around Harvard University, and the atmosphere feels more open and casual.

MIT Museum

Ppalettes_nyMy friend from MIT recommended this campus museum to me. I had checked in at the museum on Harvard campus before, and I was shocked, especially the various stones, which were simply too many to take in. So I decisively added the MIT Museum to my itinerary and found a weekend to check in. Compared with the Harvard Museum, the museum here has fewer visitors, and the museum is full of science and engineering atmosphere. Various designs full of technological content are displayed in the museum. It is also very shocking when you come here for the first time. It is more suitable for friends with science and engineering backgrounds to visit. After visiting the museum, you can visit the MIT campus. You can enter the teaching building without a student card.

The Harvard Museum of Natural History

Ppalettes_nyWhen I was in this museum by my little friend Amway, I didn’t care at first. I felt that the museum on campus was difficult to create too high a surprise. I didn’t expect to be beaten in the face when I went there. I was very happy to visit with my friends. I couldn’t stop at all. , All kinds of exotic exhibits, Boston's favorite museum list also has a place at the Harvard Museum of Natural History. The museum was founded in 1998 by three different themes of botanical specimens, comparative zoology and mineral geology. The earliest botanical specimen museum was established, and at the beginning of the museum, more than 200,000 botanical specimens donated by Harvard professor Asa Gray were established. The Mineral and Geological Museum was donated in 1977, and the last was the Comparative Zoological Museum, which was built in 1859. Each theme pavilion has wonderful places, each pavilion has a happy float, the glass flower display of the botanical specimen museum, the comparison of zoological specimens, only you can't think of, there is no here that does not exist, the favorite is the mineral geology museum, all kinds of exquisite ore, It feels like few other museums have seen such a large scale and exquisite.

Harvard Yard

野枫印象Harvard Square is located in Cambridge, Boston. The square is both a community and a part of Harvard University. There are shopping malls, bookstores, and restaurants here. Harvard students can spend their daily necessities here as well as participate in various learning and social activities.

Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East

东张西望望东西The campus is very, very beautiful, there is a particularly beautiful teaching building, and here is tree-lined, birds and flowers, it is a very learning atmosphere school, and it is also one of the world's most famous universities.

Harvard Art Museums

东张西望望东西Harvard University's University Art Museum is a very famous museum among American university museums and art galleries. It has a very rich exhibits, and can let everyone know about students' academic achievements through exhibitions.

Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology

西西行阿里The Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology is a North American Indian exhibition that tells the relationship between Indians and Europeans who came to the North American continent from the 15th to 18th centuries, and how local Indian culture was influenced by European culture. How they maintain their own traditions and customs. The museum also features other collections that showcase local culture in the Americas, such as rock paintings and murals from the Mayan and Mohican periods. Founded in 1866, the museum is one of the oldest museums of anthropology in the world.
