Find the Cheap Carol Stream Hotels

Keep in mind that I am a certifiable Big City-o-phobe, and most of what I say about things in the big city need to be measured by that standard. Recently we needed to visit the suburbs of Chicago for a college visit. The Holiday Inn was recommended to us and we found an affordable room that was comfortable and clean. The bathroom and shower were great, and the main level was pretty nice, too. We were on the 4th floor, and the hallway looked like a recent revamp. The check in and check out went flawlessly, but we are accustomed to the usually 'free' breakfast, which was not available here. There was a restaurant available, but I like the mini-muffins and the Golden Malted waffle machine, so I was a little disappointed on that one. Overall a good value.

Extended family always stays here for periodic reunions. Staff was great, bathroom was clean, bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet which are the most important things. But our room was showing signs of wear and lack of deep cleaning: upholstery was stained; lamps dusty, etc., which isn't that bad if the price is cheap enough (this wasn't.) Overall we would stay again but I wish either the price was lower or the rooms updated.

Clean & comfortable room, friendly staff at check-in. The property has a nice bar & lobby area with a breakfast area also with many hot food options for breakfast. The only negative was the hotel bar closed at 10pm during the week.

We had a less than optimal experience this weekend with our stay.  The room was very dirty.  The walls and carpet were stained.  There were cigarette burns in the carpet.  There was a giant stain on our blanket.  I asked for a replacement and never received it.  There were liquids dripping down the wall.  There were candy wrappers on the floor when we arrived, and there was a clump of hair in the bathroom.  I discussed with a female attendant, but I was told no other room was available in the same category.  I asked for a refund.  The employee said that she would inform the manager, and ”that will not be a problem.”  I never heard back from the manager nor did I get a refund.  There were children screaming and running up and down the halls at all hours.  I called to complain, but nothing was fixed as it continued for several more hours.  I asked for towels two times with no response.  I finally had to go to the front desk and then got 2 towels as ”that is all they had available.”  The conditioner was empty in the shower.  We asked for a few little bottles.  2 of the 4 were half used.  I was also shocked and very upset that a child was able to go to the front desk and request a key for my room.  The key was given to a child who was not a part of my group nor invited into my room.  The child was given a key no questions asked and came into my room twice before I figured out that the front desk issued them a key.  

Excellent, everything was pretty good. I love it. I am really happy about my book in this hotel. Mi family and me were in the wedding party and everything was excellent. we felt happy by complete in general.

Best Customer Service right from check in. Masks were required in all public areas. Easy. Efficient. Friendly. Immaculate, the staff was always working. Excellent accommodations for a family of 5. Beds were comfortable, pillows were just right. 2 Tv's with lots of channel options. So clean! Pool and hot tub were being tested for chlorine levels by the pool attendant who was very diligent in getting levels accurate . Pristine. Breakfast had abundant choices, especially during Covid. Lots of hot items, lots of grab and go items. Close to family restaurants, attractions and shops. It will always be our first choice in the Lombard area.
