We often stay at Hilton properties and in particular Home2Suites. This location has excellent parking, a charging station and nice outdoor pool. The staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was as expected. Why 4 stars instead of 5? The room. The wall hooks in the bathroom were missing with raw metal pieces remaining in the wall, a handle missing off a drawer. These things did not directly impact our stay, but Hilton should know this hotel is in disrepair so 4 out of 5 stars. We mentioned it to the front desk. I would stay here again.
This hotel really needs some attention! We stayed here over the weekend and left today, Monday, February 19th, and I must say this is one of the worst hotel stays I have experienced in a very long time! For starters, when we arrived the shower had a slow leak, there was a bug on the ceiling above one of the beds, the refrigerator had some sort of residue on it and the lamp in the room was broken and pieced milled back together instead of replacing it altogether! We reported it as soon as we noticed it and maintenance did come and try to course correct the situation, although he stated the shower did not have a slow drain, which I had to show him that it did, then he fixed it. This is alarming that maintenance tried to get out of repairing the shower. The next item was that we heard footsteps all night long above us the first two nights ALL night long into the morning hours. Why are the floors so hollow that you can hear people walking on the floor above?!?! There were people talking and laughing loudly and playing loud music till we barely got any sleep. I reported all of this to the front desk manager Patrick that only offered to move us to another room, after being told by Mia that there were no rooms available. Moving to another room after being settled is not the fix all! Patrick also said that when hearing noise to let the front desk know. Who's going to do that at 1 and 2AM in the morning?? My focus was trying to sleep! He did very little to remedy the issues. The final night, (last night), the person in the room next to ours played their TV loudly all night long and it was still on and just as loud the morning that we left. The walls and floors in this hotel are thin as paper and we will not be staying at this Marriott site again in the near nor far future!!

Need a double bed for another stay. But I found that the refrigerator was small, which would be a little inconvenient if I live in a parent-child family. Other facilities and services are still good. Outdoor seating in front of the door is very good, a good place to drink beer and chat

It was a good experience. Clean room. Good price. The only minor issue was the curtains blocking the AC unit. I pushed them against the window, and they held their place during the night. Would consider them again.
We checked out early from another hotel because it was dirty and it needed total a renovation. Im a germaphobe and when I stay at a hotel it better be thoroughly clean. This hotel check-in was fast and easy. The front desk agent was very friendly. This Hampton Inn is updated and modern. It is conveniently located next to a gas station, near a Walmart, and a Cracker Barrel. Walking into the room I am inspecting the bathroom floor, shower , coffee station, refrigerator and carpet around the bed. The room was very clean and it had a pleasant clean smell. The bed was very comfortable. The free breakfast buffet had everything I needed… fruit, oatmeal and yogurt. The gym was small but it had free weights and a treadmill. I would definitely recommend this hotel for an overnight stay.
I first stayed at this property earlier this year and so in September 2019 I returned for a business weekend trip. Hotel is in a somewhat awkward location given a traffic island and the nearby Interstate 20 highway exits. But it can be reached and is easily seen from the highway. Cracker Barrel is walking distance behind the hotel and many other restaurants are nearby as is a grocery store and a Super Walmart. As to the property it is in reasonable ok shape. Love the fruit-infused water in the lobby and the fitness room with the free weights (albeit a small room). I don't swim but there is an indoor pool which guests seem to take advantage of during their stay. Breakfast is average; nothing spectacular. The breakfast area is of average size and not terribly cramped. Nice lobby area. One issue though....I reserved the room with an out-of-state (my home state) VISA card. I got the standard confirmation email from Comfort/Choice Hotels but when I arrived at the hotel mini-chaos occurred. I tried to use the VISA card to pay for my stay and after 3 swipes the card was still declined. I called my bank (BoA) to find out what was going on and they said everything was good on their side. Then the desk clerk informed me that, for some reason, the hotel computer software sometimes rejects out-of-state credit/debit cards. The clerk even called his manager to see if she could run the card and figure out what was going wrong but to no avail. Thus I had to use the hotel lobby ATM to pay cash for my stay. Fortunately I was only staying one night and the rate was reasonable but this is a HUGE problem. The hotel needs to get this fix because I can envision a volatile situation where another guest with far less patience than I would make quite the scene and with good reason. I have stayed at hotels in many places but have never heard of a hotel having issues taking out-of-state credit/debit cards. Hope this is fixed before my next stay and I hope nobody else has to be inconvenienced as I was. Room was nice and clean and had what I needed for a 2-night business stay where I spent little time in the room. I will keep this as my regular spot when I am in the area unless something goes haywire.
I was very hesitant about staying at this hotel because of other reviews but I must say I was pleasantly surprised the room was clean only downside it was small. I would suggest a better complimentary breakfast which is basically non existent. But for what I paid I can get over that . I would recommend because the rooms were nice and clean as well as comfortable will return!

GGuest UserThis is my experience: I am a bongos Marriott rewards member. I really like Marriott properties and their service. Lately, the service aspect has been less than desirable. We checked in on a Friday night (4 pe) discovered the bathtub did not drain when we showered and only had to bath towels. Saturday morning at 9:30 am, asked the frint desk for 4 bath towels and someone to fix the drain. We left for the day. Sent several chats in the app, no response as to either request as fulfilled. Returned at 10:30 pm to find nothing had been done. No towels and no drain was fixed. Called the front desk, with the response that they were full and had a shortage of towels but they would take mine , wash them snd bring them back. She had no knowledge as to why the drain was not fixed. The towel issue was expedited and we did receive our towels quickly. 4 showers, tub not draining. It’s like standing in a swamp of dirty water. Check in face to face the next morning after writing a long note at 5 am in the bonvoy app regarding my disappointment with the service regarding the drain issue, no one asked about how my stay was. I mentioned that they may want to have someone look at the drain in the room before the next person checks in. Their response was”what room was that”. I left very disappointed in their service and lack of concern for repeat customers. I hope this was a one time thing. However, I have stayed at other Fairfield Inns and I would say the friont end service is about the same, you really have to go to one of the Marriott’s nicer hotels to get better customer service and then that is still questionable.
Where to start with this Hilton mess? First, it's successful in this location. And it's hard to argue with current success, except the knowledge every design element of ”Tru” will age like chicken gravy. Wow! A pool table 2-4 guests can use at a time while the actual pool closes at 9. Wow! There's no natural place to pull your car for checkin and people randomly stand outside. Wow! The front desk was pitch dark and our check-in agent was as friendly as... the same gravy. Great! Ice cold coffee on offer 24/7. Gee! Protruding random room features that catch your elbows until you learn the obstacle course. Yay! A $10 per room key deposit many likely forget, increasing daily room rate for the hotel. All this plus cramped rooms with 3/10 grade furnishings. The lobby looks like something Planet Fitness ate and regurgitated. This is a slapped together wreck which is not durable and it's going to look like trash in a few years - or less. This will not age well, and that's the TRUth. We are easy hotel customers and this is awful. Whoever the GM is here, they need help.
