JjianSince we went to the hotel under heavy snow with stars and moon, we set out before dawn the next day, so the surrounding environment cannot be described to everyone. The interior decoration of the small villa is still very good and very new. The store provided us with 8 eggs, a carton of milk, some oatmeal, and some small biscuits. Since the merchant and Ctrip have a certain ambiguity in the price, we have to pay a certain fee before we have checked in. After contacting Ctrip, Ctrip will refund the extra part to my account on the same night.
This is an idyllic cabin property for an Alaska experience. Our room was ready before arrival. We were greeted with the cutest cabin with our name on it. The bed is firm and cozy. The cute little makeup towel made me so happy since I accidentally got red lipstick on my hotel towel at another property. This makeup towel was dark and said makeup on it with a smiley face. So cute. The amenities are nice. The bath rug was a real rug. The blankets were so warm and weighted. I love this property and think it's been done exquisitely well. I am an avid traveler and would HIGHLY recommend this property at any time.
DDenise BThe room we had was just beautiful. The hot homemade breakfast was to die for. She also has a cute little gift shop. I HIGHLY recommend this bed &breakfast. Our host Carol was the sweetest lady you'd ever meet. I'm SO glad we chose to stay there. Prices and service way better then your average hotel room. When you stay here your like family.
GGlobal796827Our family stayed one night at this hotel during our 14-day Alaska trip. We lost one of our car keys before we got there. When we finally got there, it was well past 10pm. The front desk welcomed us with warm smile. Checking in was fast and smooth. The front deck staff Katrina ( I hope I spelled her name correctly) gave us toothbrushes and toothpaste as we locked some of our luggage in the car. She tried to find different colors for toothbrushes and gave us different rubber bands to mark individual toothbrushes, so thoughtful!! It was a wonderful feeling after an “eventful “ trip. Plus room was large and the beds were comfortable. We highly recommend this place.
This is basic accommodation in terms of furnishings and room size but overall good value for Alaska which is expensive . The rooms are dated but provide all the necessities- kettle, fridge, tea & coffee. The kettle has a hole drilled through the counter for its flex but kettle needed to be moved to reach a plug. A mosquito zapper was provided and necessary. A fan is also provided which helps keeps mossies away. The bedside lamp which came on by touch and had an integral socket and USB was very useful. The bathroom was functional and a hair dryer was provided. Clean overall. The twin room was small . Luggage placement was bit of an issue. All rooms are on the ground floor and the majority seem to be adjacent to through corridors with the only window onto the corridor. This meant not too much light came into the rooms given it was the long nights but we preferred to keep curtains closed for privacy. As said- rooms are dated and furnishings are functional rather than decorative. A counter over the fridge, small tables and basic chair. At least somewhere else to sit other than the bed. In terms of sleep the beds are very comfortable. Despite the set up it was generally quiet. Outside there is plenty of car parking. There are large well maintained gardens which go down to the river. Plenty of outside games provided. In reception indoor games are available as is free tea and coffee from 7.30 am. There is no restaurant on site but everywhere in Talkeetna is easy walking. It took us about 10 minutes to walk from one end of town to the other and only took us 20 minutes to the airfield and station. There is a bar also used by locals. Staff were friendly and helpful. WiFi in the rooms is intermittent but signal can be found outside reception - just be prepared for mossies ( which are an Alaskan problem not a hotel one). This place does not pretend to be anything other than it is. Would happily stay again.
