Forty design-forward tiny cabins sleeping two or four are fully outfitted with comforts like private fire pits, en-suite bathrooms, queen beds or bunks, kitchenettes with cookware and linens, and year-round climate control. Evenings unfold with firelight and s’mores, mornings begin with coffee among the pines, and days are spent wandering trails or enjoying the peaceful scenery of nearby Hill’s Lake and Lake Napowan, both accessible by a short drive to their public access points. It’s an immersive nature escape that blends simplicity with thoughtful luxury, offering a fresh rhythm of peace, comfort, and connection. Your stay includes a Destination Fee with snacks and beverages. With no on-site restaurant, guests are invited to bring supplies, cook over the grill, and savor meals beneath the trees.

Now we are sharing this special place with others.Birch Bay Retreat is family-friendly and is an excellent location for a family reunion, a small casual outdoor wedding, a retreat for a small group or club, or similar events, or a quiet weekend getaway or writing retreat.Enjoy fishing and swimming from our pier, or take our canoes or pontoon boat out for a spin! BBQ on our wraparound porch with views of the lake and wildflower garden, and then gather around the campfire at our private lakeside fire pit in the evening. For summer guests, the first night's firewood is on us as our welcome to the lake! Please note that the Boat and Pier are only guaranteed in from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Please inquire if you are planning on staying outside of those times, if the Pier or Boat will be available for use.Two televisions (one on each floor). Roku TV's , (bring your own Netflix/Hulu subscription) along with WiFi are included in the rental fee.Lawn games and other outdoor activities are available for summer guests. On rainy days, enjoy the basement game room with ping-pong, a foosball table and carpet bowling. The house has a large kitchen and a family-sized dining room that opens out onto a balcony, with views towards the lake. We have beds, sleeper sofas, and futons to sleep 14, and there is space to squeeze in more if you have a bigger gathering.We do our best to make sure you can bring the whole family:For families with young children, a highchair is available. Cots are available for young children. The house is partially child-proofed as their is a gate available. To accommodate older family members, the master bath has a walk-in shower with a handhold installed, showerhead with hose, and a shower bench is available upon request.We understand that pets are part of the family, so your dogs and other pets are welcome to join you in enjoying a stay at Birch Bay Retreat. We do require an additional fee to help cover wear and tear from pets.A second refrigerator in the basement will allow you to chill all your food and drinks for a large gathering, and a laundry room (washer / dryer / iron and ironing board / drying racks) is available. We continue to improve the family accessibility based on feedback from our guests.Birch Bay Retreat is near several charming small towns such as Redgranite, Berlin, and Wild Rose, as well as wineries, golfing and antiquing. Grocery stores, restaurants, and other shops are a short distance away in Wautoma.The cabin is also close to the Mt Morris ski resort, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling trails, so there are lots of winter recreation opportunities! Our home has 2 bedrooms with views of the lakes, 2 full baths, open concept kitchen with island, dining area & living room with large windows & a patio door overlooking Morris Lake. You will love the screen porch with views of both Morris & Emerald Lakes. The screen porch includes a table, 4 chairs & a dorm size frig. The Mt Morris chain consists of 5 lakes covering 172 acres, Morris Lake is a full recreational lake with the other four being no wake lakes. You will find it to be an all around great lake, with something to offer everyone. We have a pier on both Emerald & Morris Lakes, We recently rehabbed our shoreline on Morris Lake, installing 4 concrete steps for easy water entry. Included are 2 kayaks, 2 pedal boats & a canoe, an assortment of life jackets are provided.We have a hammock lounger, for those afternoon naps and 2 zero gravity chairs to kick back in.We have a Weber charcoal grill & a small Weber gas grill, and a fire pit with wood supplied.We are a short walk from the Trading Post Bar & Grill and The Mill Coffee & Ice Cream Shoppe. For winter lovers, we are a 5 minute drive from Nordic Mt Ski & Tubing hill, snowmobile trails are close by. An impressive stamped concrete patio, with wide steps that lead to a large concrete sitting area with a built-in fire pit. Walk further down to the pier where you can enjoy coffee on a bench, fishing or swimming. Lake Irogami is a full recreation lake. It is great for skiing, tubing, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, etc. It is a shallow lake and tends to be low traffic making it safe and enjoyable for all to use. We have provided two paddle boards and two kayaks for your enjoyment, as well as fishing poles you are welcome to use. We have also provided life jackets.This home is close to ATV and snowmobile trails. For those golf enthusiasts, Waushara Country Club is a 27-hole course just minutes away from the home! Looking for winter time fun? Nordic Mountain Ski and Tubing Hill is just ten minutes away as well! Town is just minutes away and offers numerous restaurant options, gas stations, a grocery store, hardware stores, coffee and ice creams stops.
