Check in and out was easy. All employees were friendly and helpful. Any requests were handled right away (extra towels, refill for conditioner, etc...). The room was clean and comfortable. Was nice that living area had separate temperature control from the bedroom. There was 6 of us, the ones that liked it cold, slept in bedroom, the ones that wanted warmer slept on sofa bed. The kitchenette was nice, and a decent sized refrigerator and freezer was a plus. The pool area was clean and well kept. One pool was heated, the other not. Hotel was busier on the weekend than weekdays. Pools still had plenty of room for all. There were grills for use, if you desired. Breakfast was good, the usual buffet for suburban locations. Do need a car, or could Uber, but nothing is a long drive away. The only disappointment was on weekdays, they didn't have coffee out round the clock. We checked out at 2:30 am to catch a 6 am flight and return car rental in Tampa. Coffee especially that night would have gone along way. You never know when people will check in or out, be up super early or be up late. Coffee should be available for those people. Small complaint for an enjoyable stay. Will definitely stay here again . I visit family there a few times a year, and this will be my go to place.
This hotel was built in the 1920s, closed for about 2 decades after 2000 and recently underwent a full renovation. It looks great outside and in, keeping original layouts, lobby fireplace, chandeliers, dining room, etc. As the renovation was underway the city was performing a much needed overhaul of the park located between the back of the hotel and the river. The park and Hacienda complement each other very well! We stayed in a spacious double queen room with a very comfortable beds and modern bath. Breakfast is not included but was reasonably priced compared to other hotels and they gave us a $10 coupon to use on each day. A nice extra! I have a son living in New Port Richey and we will stay here whenever we visit!
My wife and I decided to head to the Tarpon Springs area for a mini-getaway weekend and chose this property after doing some research. The fact that it was a newer property and very close close to Tarpon Springs (less than 15 minutes with traffic) and VALUE priced made our decision. We were looking for a clean property that is in a safe area and didn't need a full-service hotel or resort since we would only be there to sleep and shower for the most part and this property met and exceeded those expectations. We checked and front desk service was friendly and efficient (and also honored my request that I submitted online during booking for extra pillows in the room and also a high floor. The room was still newish looking and everything was functional including a nice mini-fridge for our drinks. The bedding was very comfortable and we slept well both nights. The shower was large and good water pressure. They use DVP flooring instead of carpeting in the room which is a plus since sometimes hotel room carpets can get so nasty. BTW, I did see housekeeping mopping the flooring of adjacent room that had the door open so they are serious about cleaning. We did come back to the property to relax after a day of sight-seeing in Tarpon Springs and used the pool. Its kind of a small space (long enough but not every wide) and not many chairs there so slight demerit stopping me from giving a 5 star review. There were a number of soccer teams there for s tournament evidently so small pool was not very relaxing with a number of kids. Other slight demerit is the breakfast. It is okay, on par with hotels that provide a free breakfast, but just not our thing. We tried this first morning but skipped the second morning. Not a big deal and was good enough for the kids there for soccer. Finally, the hotel is situated next to a fairly significant multilane highway but we didn't hear any traffic noise in our room at night so they must have taken that into consideration when it was built. Overall, comfortable room at a good value!

First of all the employees act like you owe them something, not very friendly and helpful. Room was dirty and nasty due to they clean every 3rd day as I was told by front staff. Asked for more towels said they had a towel shortage. The pool was filled with a bunch of kids unsupervised just a nightmare. The restaurant was very short staff had a 6 year old cleaning the tables on our first day there. The pool table in the bar is from the 70's and not taking care of. Oh don't let me forget the Drug Dealing going on in the side parking lot. Do yourself a Huge Favor ... Don't Stay There Go Elsewhere. This place is a Total Dump.
Although the room we stayed in was very clean, and the beds comfortable, the hotel is showing its age. The tub had chips in the porcelain, and the shower curtain was hard to close to prevent the floor from flooding when showering. There are not enough plugs in the room for all our electronics, especially since the USB ports in the lamp between the beds were not working. Also, one of the elevators was out of service. The breakfast had a lot of choices, but the eggs and biscuits were out when we got there and it took a bit before it was replenished. Because of that we chose the cheese omelets, but they weren’t hot and were chewy. The sausage links could be improved due to an extremely tough casing which was difficult to cut through. The pancake maker was a nice addition. The employees at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. I gave 4 stars because the room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the employees friendly and helpful.
Service level beyond Hampton standards and above the top tier Hilton brands.....Lindsay provided an overview of all of the amities, hotel layout, breakfast (breakfast was ok) and features of the hotel. We had a pizza from lunch and when we checked in, our room did not have a fridge. I asked Lindsay if she had a room with a fridge and she promptly moved me and helped move me and provided a cart and made it super easy. Very impressed with her service level

This hotel was convenient for a stopover stay while traveling. Free parking, with plenty of spaces. There are a couple of restaurants near by if needed, there is also a Starbucks less than a .25 mile away. The room was clean, the staff was polite and friendly. The bed was a bit firm, not the best sleep but not a deal breaker for this price point, that is expected. There are 2 seating options in the room, other than the bed, which is convenient for eating. There is a nice outdoor sitting area with hammocks and seating both with shaded areas and unshaded areas, that is a plus. There is a little area to purchase snacks and a few sundries near the front desk if needed. A car is needed for this location, a few shops near by but not really walkable. As for the room, it felt damp, the bed, towels and even our things started to feel damp. The explanation was that this is FL. As I lived in South FL and North FL, I don't buy that. There is an issue with the AC system. But for one day stopover not a deal breaker. There is only one elevator, which was inconvenient during peak times. This one elevator is utilized by staff with carts as well guest trying to get breakfast and guest checking out. Other times the one elevator was not an issue. There are only 3 floors in this hotel so the stairs were an option. In the end, the value was there for this location. Budget friendly find!
