We stayed at Home2 Suite in PA that was immaculate and amazing. We expected the same standard would be found here. Nope!! We literally walked in and out of here! This one shouldn't even be called a Hilton properly. It's shameful. This hotel property is absolutely disgusting! Forget for a moment you are listening to planes nonstop and that the windows and walls are thin as paper. The icing on the cake is the assortment of broken furniture sitting in the hallway outside of the elevator ....which leads into the hallway (we were on the 3rd floor) which smells like someone used up a case of Febreze rather than actually cleaned anything. Immediately triggered a migraine for me. It was horrible. And how do I know nothing is clean? Because when I walked into our room it was obvious. The shower had mold around the soap dish. Mold. The air conditioning vent rattled SO loudly that it actually took over the sound of the planes taking off. There was no way my family could have stayed in this room and actually slept. When we nicely brought up the extremely loud rattling air conditioner (didn't even mention the mold or smell in the hallway) to the front desk asking if someone could please fix it, the person at the front desk laughed at my husband. Literally laughed at him. Horrible customer service. We refused to stay here, and the found another (very clean and quiet, I may add!) hotel to stay at. This place is a total dump. Besides the large size of the room, there is nothing else the place has going for them. Check out Homewood Suites by Hilton in Scarborough instead.
My wife and I came to Portland Maine to visit family. We stayed at the Sheraton Sable Oaks and we were very pleased we did. I would like to thank Chris Merriam Exec Chef for his kind and generous hospitality. What a gentleman! Meg Poulin Sales Manager happened to come by our table just to say hello. Imagine that? And Suzie our waitress took very good care us. Through our conversations we determined that between the three of these wonderful people there was over 90 years of hospitality expeience at this single property. Can you imagine? That ”is” the testament of this matchless property. We...will...be staying there again. Thank you all
It’s great- the room is clean, shower is functional, basic amenities are there. Some lounge neighbors but that’s unavoidable. Most importantly the bed is comfy, staff has been very nice and helpful. I’d go back there in the future!

GGuest UserThe price/performance ratio is relatively high, suitable for taking children with you. The swimming pool is also good, and the breakfast can be used for two casually.

RRelax36101416745My first trip to Maine was amazing. This hotel was beautiful. I understand it only opened less than a year ago. The lobby was lovely, free breakfast, and a nightly happy hour with drinks and food. Gym and laundry facilities, and water/ice dispensaries throughout the hotel. The room was beautiful and so well led out. It was obvious the designers of this space understood the importance of maximizing space. It was one of the few hotels that did not have an alarm clock, which is so redundant these days. Had a room with 2 beds, very soft and spacious. 3 night stands, kitchen area, spacious bathroom, large closet, desk space...really, it was a perfect stay. 10 minutes to downtown Portland!
TTammiTravelerI arrived on May 24, just in time to get unpacked and settled before going to dinner. The bed was comfy, and I had no problem using the walk-in shower. The only real problem was the air conditioning, whose cold air caused me to have goosebumps. Only when checking out was I informed that I could have changed to warm air by myself. I also liked using the pool table and the stationary bike, even though the seat was a bit high. I only wish there had been a pool and hot tub. All things considered, it was a perfect retreat for three days and nights.
Our stay here has been excellent. We did not expect the high quality of the service and room from a ”budget ” stay. Cynthia, our front desk check-in person was outstanding. She was friendly and helpful. She knew we were leaving before breakfast and brought muffins, oranges and water to our room shortly after we checked in. The room was modern and clean with great hot water. The airport driver was attentive and friendly too. I have stayed in 5-star hotels and didn't experience hospitality like this. Kudos to Cynthia and this franchise!
GGuest UserIs a great place to go for relaxation very clean and pleasant the rooms are clean the only time we didn’t have in the bathroom was only one facecloth 2 towels and 1 hand towel and no plastic bags in the trash can other than that it’s a very nice place to go
Kkristeyh2020After traveling most of the day site seeing my husband daughter and myself were exhausted. It is difficult finding a pet friendly hotel and this was the first one we could find for more than an hours ride. When we asked if they had a room we thought great its 7:30 pm we were all exhausted and we actually have a place to stay with my puppy. When we got over to our room just entering into the hallway to go upstairs there was garbage all over the carpet. Ok so I let that go because its a main entrance so I figured through the day things got dropped or whatever. Go up to our room and open the door the first thing i saw was coffee still sitting in the coffee pot. Yuck 🤮 obviously wasn't cleaned. Hubby and I checked the beds to make sure they didn't have bugs that was fine. Sheets seemed ok. On the corners of the bed was all kinds of crumbs. Obviously no vacuum was used. So my teenage daughter wanted to watch TV and guess what it wasn't working. I called the front desk to let her know after trying everything to fix it. The girl at the desk was very pleasant and I dont blame her at all. She did say she was relatively new and would call her supervisor to find out. Well she called me back to tell me she had a message to her supervisor but no one had responded. Ok so no tv whatever. Later I went to shower and noticed the curtain looked off and the rod was barely hanging on the wall. I get in and showered and noticed the tub didn't drain so I had water to my ankles. So now we are all getting ready to go to bed as its been a long day and the darn beds were like rocks. Hard and very uncomfortable. About 2 hrs later my husband wakes up saying he was hot and he is never hot he rarely uses ac. When i got up the ac unit was blowing hot air. Then I realized it kept shutting off through the night. Well maybe some of my complaints are because I was a housekeeper for 4 years but I dont think that's what it is. When we get ready to check out i voiced my concerns and thoughts that they would do something to make it right but instead I got a story about how they hire a cleaning company to clean. Well I will never stay here again nor reccomend it to anyone.
