"I stayed here for three nights and it was all right. It seems you cannot expect the same standards in Samoa or most of the South Pacific so if you compared this to Sheratons in other parts of the world it's definitely lacking. The room is generally fine but there are small things like the curtains that need renovation. The balcony overlooking the water was great and the staff is very nice. The location is good and central but be careful with dogs. This isn't the hotel's fault but if you try to walk around there are dogs not locked up by their owners and some of them are vicious. I got bite walking to Vaiala Beach. The Samoa govt needs to do something abt dog owners letting their dogs wander outside their properties. When I told the hotel guys I got bite they acted like this happens all the time."
"My family & I recently had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional hotel, where the experience began with a warm and heartfelt welcome. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a beautiful mosooi lei, a lovely touch that immediately set the tone for a luxurious and thoughtful stay. The customer service throughout my visit was impeccable—staff members were attentive and professional. A particularly nice touch was the personal service provided to our rooms, where I was delighted to receive a serving of traditional Samoa chips, showcasing the hotel’s commitment to offering local and unique experiences.
The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve ever encountered. With an impressive variety of fresh tropical fruits, local specialties, and made-to-order dishes, it truly offered something for everyone. It was the perfect way to start each day, and the quality of the food was top-notch.
While the food was delicious, it’s worth noting that it was on the pricier side, but given the high quality and the beautiful setting, it felt justified as an occasional treat
While most of our stay was flawless, there were a few areas for improvement. We did notice some hair on the bathroom doors, and unfortunately, there was a blood stain on the sheet cover. It’s clear that the cleaning team usually maintains high standards, but these small details indicate that a bit more attention is needed in certain areas. Despite this, the overall experience was still highly enjoyable, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel for its outstanding service and warm hospitality."
"Always a great easy stay at Tanoa.
Rooms are clean, comfortable and all amenities work well.
Great pool and breakfast buffet.
Tanoa is alway a first choice of accommodation when we come to Samoa."
"I lived in a garden bure, a very unusual experience) beautiful, delicious breakfast, warm pool, good Wi-Fi, a voucher for 1GB every day) you need to walk about half an hour to the city center"
"The staff was so friendly and humble. Even though there were small concerns, with their polite manner, they immediately fixed them making our stay pleasant and cozy."

"The hotel room had no windows and was therefore very dark. To make up for the Samoan heat, there was a decent air conditioner, but it was a shame there was no remote control. The bathroom was missing toilet paper and soap. The check-in and check-out service was poor, as they made you wait a long time because the receptionists (nothing against them, in fact, nice and helpful) had to go to the shop next door to get the boss's signature and ask for change. The electronic key expires daily, and they have to reactivate it each time. However, the location isn't bad, nor is the restaurant; after all, it's the cheapest place to stay in town. So, all in all, it's acceptable."
"It’s a average place, restaurants was okay, looks like it’s still trying to find its place, except more from this place as its been open for just about 12mouths now, hard to get food apart from the restaurant there, that’s very big but empty 🧐 needs a lot more hospitality experience in staffing, its cheap but can do a lot better"
