"I’d give it 100 stars if it were an option! This immaculately clean, new hotel was tastefully decorated with great lighting. Although we did not use them we were able to view the spa, pool and outdoor bar area. All were beautiful with sea views for days. The stars of the show were Daniele and Giorgia! Marco and Annalisa were also great but Giorgia and Daniele made us feel like family. We were not visiting for leisure as we had a family member in the local hospital at the end of a cruise. Their kindness and compassion was not only unexpected but so greatly appreciated. They made dinner reservations for us at two locations that were incredible and on our last night ordered us pizza so that we could relax after an 8 hour day at the hospital. We will always include Villa Giada in future cruises. Don’t hesitate to book here!"

"We were very disappointed with our stay. The hotel is quite old, and the facilities are outdated and poorly maintained. The bathroom door appeared to have suffered water damage. The door panel was swollen and clearly needed to be repaired or replaced. The shower was especially frustrating because the water temperature was extremely unstable. It would be comfortable for about a minute, then suddenly become very hot for around 30 seconds, followed by very cold water. This continued throughout our showers. Overall, the room and facilities did not meet our expectations, and the hotel needs significant maintenance and updating."

Well worth the stay there as we had the whole place to ourselves for our first night. The very large balcony has amazing views of the sea and is a great way to start each morning with breakfast overlooking it. All the little extras that we had available to us was just icing on the cake! With fabulous restaurants and bars within walking distance and the lovely public beach across the street. Definitely value for money and we are staying there again!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at La Casa Sul Mare. We had efficient communications before our stay and airport pickup was nicely arranged. Thank you to Loris and Ambra for all the nice arrangements. Ambra’s succinct but detailed briefing on the place was highly appreciated. Our room was new and spotless clean with a really nice view of the Ferris wheel and the coast. Drinks, snacks, fruits, air-con, new and nice big TV with Netflix, hair dryer, hair curler, fresh clean towels, and even new slippers were available! Loris is the best host ever. Grateful to his helpful handling of our multiple heavy suitcases. Apart from the airport pickup, he also arranged transfer for us to reach our cruise ship via a car with special permit to go inside the terminal area. Everything was smooth and nicely done. Loris has definitely raised the standard of a bed and breakfast stay, in fact the whole experience was even more pleasant than some of my previous hotel experiences. One could totally feel the passion and effort that Loris has devoted to running the place to make his guests feel comfortable. One last tip, make sure you don’t miss the delicious pistachio pie made by Loris’s mom, it is a must try!"

"Despite informing the owner of our late arrival there was no-one there when we arrived, we had texted them earlier that day and they had replied OK. But after texting when we arrived, ringing the door bell and ringing both phone number we got no reply. We nearly had to sleep in the street as all other hotel we contacted were full. At 1:00 AM they finally phone back and let us in. Staff were miserable. Treated us like dirt. Bed was rock hard, hardly got any sleep. Avoid, Book one of the hotels instead"

"This hotel is beautiful! If you are embarking in Civitavecchia this is a must stay location! They were very friendly and accommodating! Every person we encountered was extremely nice and welcoming. We arrived very late and were starving-they went out and got us local pizzas which were beyond delicious. The hotel itself is stunning! Beautiful furnishings and first class accommodations. The bathroom and custom bath products were amazing! We even had an issue with a transfer on the end of our trip and they helped us locate another driver! Overall, this hotel is a must stay if you are sailing. But honestly, this is the type of hotel I love to visit anytime! Quiet, peaceful, clean, and so so friendly! From the ease in check in to the little extras they provide-they are simply amazing! Grazie Mille!"

"This is an apartment room, not a hotel. There are many hotel options closeby. This one is a terrible choice. It has old furnitures, dirty bed sheet, broken outlet, leaking and broken shower head, faucet missing parts. I arrived around 4pm. The door bell did not work at all. I had to wait for more than one hour to get the owner to show up. The neighbors said it happened to many guests. They saw guests standing outside in cold all the time. Do not choose this apartment room and pay a little more for better ones nearby."

"We stayed for just one night in December, but we had a wonderful time. Ms. Anna was extremely kind in her welcome (she waited for us even though we were delayed while looking for parking) and was available to provide us with all the information we needed for a pleasant evening. She also offered us a welcome drink at a nearby bar. The apartment wasn't the one we had booked, but another just a few steps away, adjacent to the Cathedral, near the Theater, and located on a street full of shops decorated for Christmas. The apartment was brand new and equipped with every comfort, including a small refrigerator, an extra bed, and an ensuite bathroom with a lovely large shower. All the furnishings were modern and very functional, and the cleanliness was top notch. We were fortunate to be the only guests that night, so we were able to completely relax. Thank you for everything."

"Four of us spent a wonderful night at the Casa Dharma in Civitavecchia before departing on a cruise. Federica was our hostess. We stayed in her two bedroom place very near to the cruise port. The flat, the location and Federica were all wonderful! Her flat was perfect for us. Each couple had a good sized bedroom with comfortable double bed. Each bedroom had a full bath (and the showers included a wonderful rainfall shower head!). We were there in August and it was hot outside but Federica’s air conditioning kept us comfortably cool. … and it was immaculately clean! There was a bright and sunny kitchen with a full sized refrigerator and an espresso maker. The refrigerator was stocked with snacks and goodies! It was better than being home! The location was perfect! It was about half a block from the water. There were public beaches within easy walking distance in one direction and the cruise port was several blocks in the other direction. If we were younger (and had less luggage) we could have walked to the cruise port but we opted to take a cab (that Federica arranged). The cab is probably the smarter way! Federica’s place was charming but what made our stay unforgettable was Federica, herself! She far exceeded our expectations! When we arrived at her place, she was waiting for us at the front door and greeted us warmly! She showed us around and answered our questions. She was quick to respond to our needs - whatever we wanted - nothing was a problem! We were blown away when she wanted to know when we wanted breakfast because she came into our flat and made individual breakfasts for each of us! She redefined the term “Gracious Hospitality”! If you are cruising from Civitavecchia or just spending a few days town, stay at Casa Dharma! You will have a great time! Tip 1: There are many restaurants along the waterfront but they are very “touristy”. Federica suggested that we walk two or three blocks behind her place into a small “Old Town” were there are a few restaurants that are frequented by locals. We walked up there, found a charming family run place called Il Conte Zio. We had an excellent meal there. There are a few other restaurants there - give them a try! Tip 2: There is also a local market that is open in the morning. It is only a few blocks from Casa Dharma. If you have a free hour and nothing to do, it might be fun to walk through it."
