Mercure Petriolo Siena Terme Spa Hotel

We were in doubt due to the reviews that mentioned a structure that requires maintenance. None of this: vast and well-kept common areas, impeccable room (A07), bathroom as it should be, very pleasant corner with table and kettle, small terrace (two chairs and a table outside would be fine here...) large with view of the woods. Nice SPA, with some signage problems to reach it; never seen anyone at the reception of the Health Center, but in the SPA there is always an employee. An internal swimming pool in the SPA and an external one (unheated), in the SPA three fairly large pools with thermal water at different temperatures, an ok sauna, a Turkish bath which has apparently been abandoned for some time. Pleasant but not amazing dinner, ordinary breakfast bordering on sufficiency (poorly made scrambled eggs, few yeasts, low quality juices, stupid jams). Very courteous staff.

Beautiful structure in the middle of nowhere... nice room, nice bathroom but old and worn towels and bathrobe and this is not good in a 4 star... restaurant to forget completely rejected... biblical times and improvised staff... .poor breakfast, not 4 stars, maybe 2....the wellness center is nice but maybe this place isn't worth the money, if it cost less I would do it again for a weekend but at this price it's not...

I stayed over the Easter weekend, a very beautiful structure with beautiful thermal pools. The problem is management, first of all you can't check in and check out with the operator and the operator talking on the phone at the same time, maybe hire two people per shift. The hotel inside is a labyrinth and the depar**ents are not well signposted. The worst thing is the restaurant where the team is off, running in circles and not knowing where to start, the excuses that were given after the reports were: we have only been open for 2 days, I'm sorry but I'm not in a 4 star these shortcomings are understandable. The only one who proved up to the task was Roxana. It's a shame because this hotel has great potential, I hope that the reviews will soon prove useful to improve the service of this beautiful structure.

Mooi ruim hotel, gebruik van lokale steen gecombineerd met hedendaagse bouw. Prettige aankomst en mooie klassieke inrichting waar het heerlijk vertoeven is. Fijne loungebanken, zowel binnen als buiten. Ontbijt goed, door corona iets aangepast. Fijne bediening en verzorging. Upgrade gehad naar 3 luxe kamers, zeer ruim. Heel attent en gewaardeerd. Goed werkende airconditioning. We verbleven er 8 dagen en het was heerlijk. Veel gebruik van de spa en zwembaden gemaakt en veelal buiten, bij zwembaden doorgebracht. Vooral de zwavelbaden waren erg prettig. In omgeving genoeg te doen: Grosseto met prachtig archeologisch museum en mooie binnenstad en stadswallen. Strand dichtbij. Florence, Sienna en niet te vergeten het prachtige middeleeuwse Pari. Verder diverse eetgelegenheden in de buurt. Heerlijke vakantie door uitstekend en verzorgd hotel en een ontspannen sfeer.

Beautiful and very large structure, everything ok regarding the room, clean and spacious, but to us it gave the idea of ​​a lack of staff, perhaps it was reduced during the COVID period and no other people were then hired. Both for the outdoor pools and for the indoor spa there was only one guy and honestly it seemed a bit cheap... the spa lacks maintenance, one tub didn't work, two out of four of the cervical waterfalls worked, rust here and there, peeling walls and most people entered the sauna without a towel to sit, and obviously there was no control. In conclusion, in our opinion, these shortcomings do not make it a four star and honestly it is a shame because the structure is beautiful, the view from the outdoor pools it is a spectacle and it would be a shame to lose value by not paying more attention to certain details because the structure deserves it.

Very difficult resort to find, only a sign indicates its presence but it is already visible from the road! Very spacious room although not very clean, TV with a cable out of place, in fact you couldn't see it well at all, telephone with a cord almost severed, had to call the reception with our mobile phone! Virtually no WiFi! Restaurant: little choice, very high prices, considering that the only customers are resort guests! But the thing that certainly made us really furious was the request for sensitive credit card data!!! Receptionist's motivation: to protect against customers who consume without paying, translation: We don't trust customers, who are our real employers, and we force them to trust us, challenging the most banal privacy rules!! To our complaints it is not enough to reply "what can I do? It's my job" the director is called!! Advice: avoid a similar experience!!
