In a word… ‘Meh’ comes to mind… the hotel is past its prime but awesome location on the beach and amenities everywhere… a bit pricey for what it is (and isn’t).

At check in I was helping my husband by the arm to check in and someone behind the checkin counter asked “well what happened to you” with a smurk(i’m assuming she thought he was tipsy)to which I replied “he has had a stroke”. Returning back to park after being out the attendent who checks people in before we go to valet, was super rude, as we have always been shown to go straight to the handicap parking space. He’s told us just valet to which I replied to him they’ve always told us to just go to handicap, and he said well are you handicap?and I had to show him the sticker on my window. We requested housekeeping because we just wanted to have our trash picked up and coffee replaced to which out of the five days we stayed they only showed up two of the 5 days. We had to request extra towels. We actually took our own trash to the trashcan then track down the nearest housekeeper to ask for trash bags, coffee cups, lids, tea and coffee, creamer, and sugar for our room.

We go to Clearwater every year. Most years we stay at Hilton because of Tommy's Bar and the cabanas. This year , unfortunately , was not as pleasant. We were greeted with very rude Valets that were no help at all and just wanted to get a tip. Once we unpacked everything, I had forgotten my phone in the car and went down to give the valet ticket to the valet and had to wait 25 minutes while the valets took new guests, smoked cigerettes and even stood joking with eachother. When I finally had enough, i approched one and presented my ticket and explained that i needed something out of my vehicle. He snatched the ticket and went ot get my key. he then gave me the key and started to walk away. When I asked where my care was parked, he merely pointed to the 4 story garage and said " it is in there somewhere." It took 15 minutes of walking on every level to realize they didnt put my care in the garage but outside on the other side of the hotel. When I went to give the key back to the valet he stuck his hand out for a tip lol When we checked out and got into our car, we noticed that the cups and wrappers we left in the car were gone and 83 miles added to the odometer( I took a pic when I went to get my phone.) . The nerve of these ****** to , not only treat guests in a rude and disrespectful manor, but to use other peoples cars for joyrides is criminal. We will not be stay at this hotel again.

Another fantastic vacation at a fantastic resort. However, what makes this a 5 star experience is the hotel staff. A special thanks to Dylan, Lena and Leah for going above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable and a reason to return in 2025!
