Nice n clean great place to stay .will go again

When I booked Pelican Pointe hotel, I knew it was an older property so I wasn't expecting anything grand, plus the price was super affordable! When we first arrived, the room was very spacious for my family of 5. It was like a semi suite, kitchen was separated from the beds but not closed off. It had 2 doubles and a futon fold out in the kitchen/dining area. It was clean but had a funky smell, having a small well stocked kitchen with fridge and microwave was useful. At first glance it was nice, the location is amazing, right across the street from Clearwater Beach and complimentary parking which is a bonus (I hate having to pay extra for parking, so that was really great considering the price). I thought we really scored with this find, until.....my son saw a gigantic bug in the bathroom, it turned out to be a cockroach!!! EEEEWWWWW!!!! Throughout our stay we saw a few more big roaches and a ton of baby roaches everywhere. We were scared to turn off the lights because as soon as you did, the roaches came out to play, really gross and a major turn-off!!!! We slept with the lights on needless to say. We didn't bother to say anything because if there are roaches in this room, chances are the entire hotel has it! If it wasn't for the roaches, I would definitely recommend this hotel but I would never go back after seeing those nasty bugs. The hotel needs to fumigate and get rid of those roaches!!!!

Our vacation was amazingly awesome! The location was perfect. Our room was comfortable. The staff were nice and attentive. We would definitely stay here again.

We chose this resort for a girls’ trip with our teenage daughters. It was clean and spacious. Excellent front desk staff. Resort was quiet and welcoming. What we loved most was the walkability to everything we needed. The beach, shopping, restaurants, and coffee shops. I would definitely recommend.

This was a simple, clean, and great stay in Clearwater. The room was neat and provided exactly the amenities my mom and I needed. The pool was a perfect temperature and the hotel itself was quiet, allowing us to have a relaxing time. We were super happy to have the purified water stand on the first floor and enjoyed it many times during our stay.

This a great little retro hotel, just a block from the beach and within walking distance of all the fun beach bars. We had a 2nd floor room overlooking the pool and a great place to sit in the evening and have a cocktail. The only complaint I might mention is the outdoor lights. There is no way of getting away without lights, but the positioning is such that they made it pretty bright in our room. We hung a sheet to block out some of it, but the addition of some curtains would help. That being said, we would definitely stay here again next time we're in Clearwater.
