Shephard's Beach Resort

Came in late Tuesday night, we were greeted by Regina and Tonya at check in, they were great and they stayed late just to make sure we got everything we needed before leaving for the night. Hotel was nice, some things in the room needed a little TLC, nothing major, but otherwise it was great, room was clean and the beds were comfy. Cleaning staff came in daily to tidy up our room. Breakfast was served in the building next door, staff was great, food was decent. Great view, pool, beach, music all day, great staff, wide range of drinks to choose from. Side note-They are strict on the no outside drinks/food policy. But we can’t wait to go back.

Visited with my cousin to celebrate our birthdays! Everything was the best! Toni was awesome! All the staff were very nice and helpful. We had a bay room view and cannot complain about the views! Soap dish and towel rack near the sink were the only things we wish we had. We ate at the resort several times and it was delicious. Reasonably priced compared to some other places where we went to eat. Overall it was an incredible 5 days and would love to visit again!!

Very nice. Breakfast buffet was just average. Just a plain room no view boring. Over priced for what was on the buffet.

Our first vacation to Clearwater and Shepards was a perfect puck. I know some reviews say too noisy at night with the music, however our room was 4th floor right across from the stage and we slept like babies. It was nice staying where you didn't need to leave to have fun. Music day and night definitely got us in vacation mode. I will say the beach chairs should have a better rate to rent but that is my only negative. Toni at check in was a dream and on point with restaurant recommendations as well as just checking in on us daily, making guests feel VIP. Our bar and beach servers, Annah, David, and Garrett were also amazing. We look forward to our next trip.

On the evening of April 17, I reserved a cabana online at Shephard’s Beach Resort in Clearwater, Florida. I arrived with a guest on April 18 at approximately 2 PM and was directed towards the bar to check in for the cabana. I was asked if I would like water and replied yes, not being told that I would be charged $3.25 per bottle. While in the cabana, there were several instances where individuals sitting near and on the pool edge were smoking cigarettes and using e-cigarettes. Multiple employees asked them to stop smoking as there was a non-smoking policy. The individuals continued to smoke and did not attempt to hide their cigarettes. After telling our server, an additional time, I went inside to report the issue to the front desk, told them that I was in the cabana and had to zip the front to try to minimize the smoke, that I had a medical condition which is exacerbated by smoke, and that the people smoking were sitting on the edge of the pool in front of our cabana. Approximately 10 to 15 minutes later, two men came to our cabana, unzipped the front without knocking or indicating to us what they were going to do and accused us of smoking. We explained the situation, reiterated exactly who was smoking and how many times they had been told by staff to stop smoking. One of the men indicated that he was a beverage supervisor and would investigate the situation. He later came back and said that he had told the individuals once again to stop smoking, and that if they were told again, they would be asked to leave. We told him several times that the smokers had been given several chances to stop. He then offered us to drink coupons saying “ I’m not sure if you drink or not”. There was never an apology for accusing us of smoking when we were the ones that reported the issue, and they left without zipping the cabana door which they had unzipped. Instead of fully enjoying the cabana I paid for, I spent time flushing my eyes with water and keeping the door closed until the smokers left(about 4 hours later). One week has passed, I have not received a response from the hotel staff, despite talking to someone when I checked out, and calling to find out how they were going to address the issue. I would not recommend this hotel or their pool facilities to anyone as their actions demonstrated extremely poor customer service and we were treated with rudeness and disrespect. Their actions are unacceptable.

Great food, friendly staff, and very clean! Toni at the front desk was so awesome! She was so helpful and accommodating. The pool is very nice and the private beach area was great to catch some rays, order drinks and food. We will definitely be back!

Has a wonderful time at Shepard’s Beach Resort! This was a totally fun filled, relaxing weekend! The facility is extremely clean, the food is fantastic, the daily/nightly entertainment was awesome and the staff couldn’t be more friendly or attentive!! (Shout out to Toni at the front desk!!) I also have to commend them for all the security at the property!! Rules were in place and security made sure they were followed! If you are looking at places to stay in the Clearwater area you won’t be disappointed! Also saw many bachelorette parties on site and they were all having a blast!!

The resort was so pretty, yan our waiter for our cabanas was absolutely amazing he kept up all happy with drinks in our hands and the food was delish. Toni at check in is definitely the best of the best, made us feel so welcome like we were family and made check in so easy, cant wait to go back next year!!!

We enjoyed a wedding weekend 4/11-/4/14/24. Toni at the front desk was the most welcoming check-in employee we ever had! Full of energy, enthusiasm and extremely accommodating!! Leah, Director of Catering and her entire wait and kitchen staff were top notch!! Plenty of live entrainment and awesome drinks at the pool and Tiki Hut! Rooms were great and all was very clean and staff was on their game!! I do not normally write reviews, but when you receive exceptional service, it's the least that I can do!!
