Comfort Inn Cobourg

The room was okay. The lady that checked us in was rude and not very helpful. She was a younger lady. I asked if it was possible to get a room on the main floor so I could park my work vehicle outside the room to clear it the next morning and get it running, as there was a storm hitting that evening. She said I booked a room on the second floor. I said what do you mean I booked a room on the second floor? I just booked a room....I didnt pick the second floor..She followed up with the room type you picked is the second floor.. I said okay, I didn't know that...I was I supposed to know that? I said it didn't say second floor when I booked it.. After that she just stood there as if that was the end of it. The whole time she wasn't very friendly. The last time we were there , only 2 weeks prior a different woman told us that the main floor would cost $10 more. It took my worker who was with me to ask the young woman , after a long awkward pause of just dirty looks going back and forward to ask her can we not just upgrade? She says if I have a room, and that would cost $10 more...I said I don't mind paying $10 more..she finally said I will have to see if one is available.. You have to understand, this hotel was practically empty. Maybe a handful of people were there during this storm. If it was not for this one young lady, my stay would have been really good. All the other staff were very nice. Room was clean, and the breakfast was nice.

Staff was very nice. However, the water was not draining properly in the sink or in the shower. Breakfast was below average. The milk went bad as soon as i poured it. Had to throw my coffee. Also there is no elevator, so had to carry 3 large 23 kg bags up the stairs.

The room was good. But, if you want to get a ground floor you have to pay an extra $10! I found this out when checking in and asking for a wheelchair accessible room. They don’t have an elevator.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean. Breakfast was good for a buffet style.

Staff were very nice and let me check in really early. Nice to have a free breakfast.

All was good. Room clean, updated. Breakfast was adequate for required needs

We were suppose to have a Queen sized bed but did not . We had to request room cleaning service . Very nice staff /friendly .

I stayed 3 night while attending a course. When checking out I left a jacket in the closet. There was one staff member I had already interacted with, she called to let me know just as I was leaving town because she knew I'd still be there in the course. Their attention to detail was great.

Staying here you will find this hotel is older, but you will find it extremely clean and fresh and the staff are wonderful. Our room was clean and fresh when we entered. We were booked in the second floor but my wife really needed the first floor and the front office manager Yvonne Boyer was Very helpful in changing our room to the main floor. Some may say the room decor or carpet needs to be updated, and yes it could be but as stated the room was clean and fresh and had no problems. If staying for more than one night you will be advised housekeeping must be mentioned when checking in if you wish you room done, if not they will pass on it, and we found it better as we didn’t have to put everything away while out. The breakfast area is not large for seating but it does have a good amount of items you can have and the coffee is good, and the lady looking after the area was friendly and made sure when the people left the table she cleaned the table and wiped down all the chairs and swept around the floor. The are was extremely clean.
