This hotel was located within the scenic area of the Cumbria region. Although it looks very dated, but the rooms were really spacious and our room had a jacuzzi bath tub within. The Wifi connection was also wonderful despite being in a remote location. The provided meals were really nice. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. Overall, a wonderful experience.

A very pleasant overnight stay. Comfy bed, clean and cosy accommodation. The staff could not have been more pleasant. We had a nice dinner and a very good breakfast. Would highly recommend.

I first stayed in this hotel around 12 years ago a few times when I had work in the area. I was back in the area in January of this year and stayed again, very happy with my stay there. I stayed again this month and will be back again another couple of times a bus year. The rooms are comfortable, the staff are friendly and the restaurant has a nice selection with daily specials.

Stayed at the hotel in march, in a beautiful location but easy to get to being a short distance from the a66. It's a lovely hotel with nice leasure facilities, The room was lovely and clean with a great view across the hills. A good choice for breakfast (I had the salmon), evening meals were of a very good restaurant standard. The staff were attentive & very helpful, recommending a local restaurant within easy walking distance. On my last day after checkout I was able to leave the car in the car park whilst going for a walk. I hope to return again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Embleton Spa Hotel - it was such a good deal with welcome drinks, cake and hot drink and dinner credit! And the staff at the reception/restaurant were super helpful too. It was great to be able to go to the gym and swimming pool as well, and even though the steam room was not working at the moment (it's being converted to a sauna currently), there was an outside hot tub that we enjoyed. It was great that they had a few vegan options for breakfast and dinner too (their courgette ramen were lovely). A convenient location for visiting Cockermouth and not too far from Keswick either. Nearby the Bassenthwaite lake, with some glorious mountain views around.

really lovely hotel, staff can't do enough for you, would definitely recommend! We were upgraded to a nice, clean, spacious suite. very well appointed. Food was wonderful all local produce. Staff all very helpful and knowledgeable of the area.

Fantastic hotel, really lovely. The best part was meeting Josef the concierge , he made th stay for us. We are returning guests and only come back here because of him. The rooms, service and food is fabulous but Josef just makes it special. Thank you Josef

Nice hotel, all the staff were really pleasant and the food and accommodation is good. Great base for exploring the Lake District but sadly due to the heavy rain on every day of our stay, we didn’t do as much walking as we would have liked. However, there is a nice gym in the hotel and a small pool (pool is only open to guests a couple of times a day). We ate in the hotel every night and the food is lovely, bar staff very friendly especially the tall slim long haired dude (sorry I didn’t get his name) who always had a chat. Breakfast was great, if like me you like porridge, I can highly recommend it here but the full English or smoked salmon options are equally recommended by my husband who sampled pretty much everything. The only downside (hence 4 stars) is that the couple in the room next door were a bit noisy and their TV was loud (not the hotels fault) but something to be aware of. All in all a great stay.
