Nous avons fait escale en couple pour une seule nuit. L'accueil fut agréable, l'ambiance feutrée, le personnel discret. La chambre était impeccable. Nous avons pu profiter du hammam mais pas de la piscine car elle est de petite taille et un couple jouait déjà dedans à notre arrivée. Nous aurions aimé benéficier également d'un massage mais nous nous y sommes pris sans doute un peu tard et la masseuse n'était pas disponible. Mais c'était très bien quand même.

The taxi cabs were two expensive for four minutes rides and they are not enough restaurant open in the middle of the afternoon. The tourist area they close and reopen late

I’m just concluding a 2 week stay at Francois Premier Hotel in Cognac. I previously reviewed this hotel in July 2022 when I said I loved the hotel but knocked a star off my rating as the hotel had some serious WiFi issues at the time. I’m happy to report that the WiFi is now amazing (fast and reliable) and you don’t have to login daily and there don’t seem to be to be number of device limits. The other big change. My room had a brand new beautiful large Philips TV with included streaming services. Still the best hotel by far in Cognac!! Also to note: maintenance, continuous improvement, staff friendliness and engagement! The quest for quality never seems to stop!

Après 600kms d’un voyage étape, nous apprenons en arrivant que la piscine et le hammam ne sont pas accessibles… nous aurions aimé le savoir la veille afin de ne garder qu’une nuit.
L’hôtel nous a offert le parking et le prix pour le chien, gentil mais c’est aussi pour la piscine que nous l’avions choisi.
Au 1er étage : chambre bien, avec une cour sans visibilité..,
Et tous les jours un sujet : changer la voiture de place pour un client qui arrive avec une voiture longue, un client allergique aux chiens (? Il y avait au moins 4 chiens donc quelqu’un d’allergique ne devrait-il pas se signaler quand il voit chiens admis …. , pas de piscine problème technique, pas de hammam et jn petit-déjeuner plutôt de 3* que de 4*.
Personnel gentil mais pas très compétent (et surtout pas dans la manière de demander quelque chose.
N’est-ce pas aux clients de demander des choses et non à l’hôtel pour contenter 1 client sur 26 chambres …
