Ibis Hotels in Coimbatore

The hotel is pretty good! The rooms are spacious and bright, the beds are dry, and the hygiene is good! Good service attitude! There is only one restaurant with fewer choices of dishes. In addition, don’t go to the surrounding chin chin and the casade Chinese restaurants. There are some localized Chinese dishes in India, which are really awful. Is there anything? !

Had an excellent stay, beginning with making the reservation. They gave us detox water to greet us, quick the check-in process, and offered lots of things to do including boat rides, guided river walks, indoor games, kid's play areas, turf courts, and more. Additionally, the food tasted delicious.

Good location in down town and nice area with a lot of colleges around the hotel, means safety. Small supermarkets, food stores, small shopping mall are around to the hotel too. Just heavy traffic jam in morning and after office hour peak times. BBQ Foods are nice and there is one very good Chinese/Asia food resturant. We took the sight see here and it is really fantistic place here.

Three of us spent one night at an executive suite in the Welcomhotel Coimbatore. 1. Let’s begin with the biggest complaint first. Halfway through a morning shower, the hot water simply stopped flowing both from the tap at the washbasin and from the showers too. Took about 15 minutes to resolve so I finished my bath with cold water which isn’t a big deal in a Kovai summer. But this is not something you want to happen at this price point, or, indeed, at a price point half as high as this. More so when you’re occupying an executive suite. Extremely disappointing. 2. There was some confusion at checkout. Our reservation included all 3 meals. And we had signed for one of those meals, and the restaurant had posted it as a bill payable. Reception took a few minutes to sort that out. 3. The lobby almost doesn’t exist. Once you pass through the doors, you are in what can at best be described as a passage facing the reception. This is well-lit, and I do like the aesthetics, but it’s just surprisingly small. Not complaining about this though; I was just amused. 4. We had an a la carte lunch and a buffet dinner. The quality of the food is, overall, good, as you would expect of the ITC group. The food at their Fortune hotels is often very good too. The buffet seemed to play to the crowd a little – there was a little too much tempering, it was a little too strong in its approach. But still, that is nitpicking. A la carte was pretty good. The staff are patient at taking orders and orders are taken seriously. But their knowledge of the menu isn’t sufficient. They have a dish called “ritu ki sabzi” or something of that sort which translates into “seasonal vegetables.” When we asked what the vegetables were this season, the best the waitress could do was to say “carrot” twice. The dish too was something like that: Nothing particularly seasonal about the vegetables. 5. We had an early breakfast. The buffet wasn’t quite ready yet. Nevertheless, the spread on the buffet is satisfactory but not as wide as you would expect. The quality of the food is excellent. The service was mediocre: I ordered a masala dosa which didn’t show up for 10 minutes. On inquiring about it again, the waitress (a different person) thought I was placing a fresh order and informed me that it would take about 10 minutes, a point which was never brought to my notice when I first ordered it. So I ordered a plain dosa instead. 6. Overall, the aesthetics of the hotel are nice. The restaurant, however, is dimmer than I’d like. At dinnertime, there was live music in the restaurant. I suspect that the hotel didn’t think its guests had personalities, because the loud volume made conversation extremely inconvenient. The rhythm was good (because it was essentially a metronome type of thing), the singer might have had some relationship with melody at some point in some life, but his accent made it (un)clear to us that nobody knew what the words of the songs were. 7. It’s a fantastic experience being here. Especially the food and most importantly the people who serve it. They r amazing group of people who will make u feel that u r the important customer ever. A special mention of Mr Muthu at the restaurant, an amazing guy with a golden heart…not to forget Mr Chandra, made us feel so much at home, a perfect host. If possible I would come here again only for him. A great asset to this hotel so preserve him this would be my advice to the hotel administration. Over all nothing to complain. Sorry if I have missed some names who made our stay an absolute pleasure….

Good location The room was clean and comfortable, with breakfast. acceptable. You can stay in the next time you need it.

One of the Most Irritating stay at this Hotel. I checked in with my wife and 2 kids at 8 pm on 13/4/24 night after a very hectic drive from Madurai for 5 hours straight. First they gave us a room 113 which was completely with the smell of Smoke, in which we could not even enter. Then I went to reception and complained and they told they will put refresher spray in the room and tried to convince me to take that room. After so much effort , i asked to change the room and they gave me a room on the top floor 4th floor. I felt happy for that. But i did not know it would be much worse than the previous room. Exactly above my room no 411, they had their kitchen and utensils washing area. From 10 pm in the night they started throwing the vessels during washing in the kitchen and we heard the sound that someone was throwing the utensils on our head. I called and complained the reception twice, but they did not stop. Then i directly went to the kitchen which was above our floor (5th floor) at 2 am in the morning and asked the chef to stop the washing and let us sleep for sometime. But after i come down to room no 411, it started again . I went to the kitchen twice and requested them to stop. But it did not stop. So all 4 of us did not sleep till morning and we had the worst night of our life ever. I am sure the one in the reception who allotted us this room would have definitely known that this room had this complaint. Inspite of that he gave it for us. I am sure he has spoilt the hotel’s reputation to the core and I also dont know if the Hotel management knows it or not. Even after knowing that if the Hotel management is allowing it, then you are spoiling your hotel’s reputation. I am know a lot of members in the Hotel Association in Coimbatore and I am definitely going to complaint this irritating stay at Hash six Hotel. The Management need to take immediate action to save the Guests sleep and peacefulness.

Wonderful experience at Ikon by Annapoorna. The room was well maintained & extremely comfortable. Meals at the Cove were fairly good: breakfast as part of the package was adequate. Dinner ala carte at the Cove was nice, with good service and food was fairly nice. Dining at the ground floor restaurant was nice, except during peak hours when the rush was very high! Good centrally located hotel… nice shopping area in the vicinity. Appreciate the newspaper in the room every morning, a custom sadly out of vogue in most hotels!

It was a pleasant stay at the LEMON TREE HOTEL COIMBATORE. Hotel is located at the calm place. All the staffs are so polite and humble. Very professional front office staff. Especially Pavithra was out of the world in greeting and receiving the guests. She is so lively and energetic. Sanfar the other front desk agent is also so good. By book guy he follows the rules diehard. Our stay was cool and the swimming pool is neatly maintained. It was the attraction to the hotel.. At the restaurant all the staffs were so helpful.. chef bhaskar, service guy kalai, Raghu are fantastic. They helped a lot in serving food and was so humble. On the whole the stay was excellent at lemon tree hotels. It was a memorable stay.
