My daughter and I had a fantastic stay at Utopia. Our tent was immaculately clean and the bed was super comfortable. We got a tour of the whole resort by the host when we arrived and saw the amazing gardens, animals and buildings. This place has a lot to offer. We were glad that we brought along a battery-powered lantern and some flashlights to use in the evening. I would def stay there again and would highly recommend it!

We stayed 2 nights on our way to Vancouver and it was an amazing experience. A lot to do at the campground and in the surrounding areas. Tents (Yurts) were spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. There is something for everyone at the campground from animals to karaoke and a huge firepit to an indoor lounge to relax with friends and family. Doug, the owner, is a great host, very accommodating and helpful. The rest of the staff was very friendly and courteous as well. It is one of a kind experience and I would definitely recommend it.

I recently got married at Utopia Feels and regret booking my wedding here. The property is not equipped to host weddings, despite the owner promoting his property on multiple wedding sites as a “DYI wedding venue” for up to 150 guests. When we booked, the owner (Doug) enthusiastically described the future upgrades to his property including 4 new bathrooms/showers, fully equipped outdoor kitchen with chef's BBQ & smoker, bar, and fridges. He promoted 20 acres of land to explore, ample space for additional camping units, ceremony, and yard games. He assured us this would all be ready for season opening in May and for sure by our wedding on July 1st. We visited for season opening and discovered that nothing was done. There were no bathrooms or showers except the one in his basement suite. He tore down the old ones and didn't apply for permits for the new ones in time. There was no outdoor kitchen and the “yard games area” was a patch of dirt/weeds in a fenced pasture with no games. When we expressed our concerns, his response was “people don’t need to shower, it’s just one weekend”. When we said for a wedding they do... he said I guess I can rent some porta-potties. After further discussion that we wouldn’t have booked without them, he finally agreed to provide the RVs that he now describes as “bending over backwards for us”. This is a far cry from bending over backwards when you are charging $7000 and advertising a wedding venue and the "number one glamping site in BC and Canada!" When asked where he recommended we hold the ceremony (because I couldn't see any open areas), he responded “if you need me to plan your wedding, I can hire you a wedding planner.” Completely taken aback by this rude response after booking a "wedding venue" with a video of a perfectly manicured lawn on his website, we discovered that video isn’t actually of his property. We were flexible and agreed that mowing the back hay field for our ceremony would work, however despite repeatedly following up, it was not bailed until the evening before our wedding. His worker then finished bailing it literally minutes after our ceremony while we were taking pictures. Talk about adding stress to our planning and complete disregard for our wedding. When we checked in, the owner was touring his family around the property all afternoon instead of checking us in despite us paying $7000 for exclusive use of the property. There were no towels provided and no one told us where to find extra blankets. It was freezing at night and our guests in the tents froze the first night until we could ask for extra blankets the next day. Instead of taking responsibility for anything, Doug made comments to us about what great value his property was and that “some people just can’t be pleased.” He also called my fiancé during our stay yelling at him because guests were checking out his plant towers. He swore at him saying “get your people under control and away from the towers” and threatened to charg

such an amazing place and the owners are so accommodating. this is a great model for others to copy due to the fact it IS a functional farm and integrates just enough technology to be the flagship of how farming can be done o every level. can't wait to come back !! :)

Such an interesting place … vertical tower gardens, happy animals - a pot-bellied pig, rabbits, chicks, goats and Skim - a handsome young Bull…Wonderful, caring hosts, Doug, LJ, Barb and Dave…A lounge/games room …Spacious tents, individually decorated, with very comfortable beds…a full kitchen for cooking and currently - 2 washroom facilities … though plans are in the works to add 4 more …

Attended for a bachelorette, was not sure what to expect. Lots of bugs in the Yurts, screens needed repairing, holes in some of the roofs (covered on the outside with a blanket), kitchen was infested with mice, beds were comfortable however nights were very cold and only a thin cotton sheet and a thin blanket (no duvets?) water pipe broke in shower house(13 women using one bathroom), no fridge in recreation hall (but has a bar?). Lots of different people in and out of the location on a daily basis (not many appeared to be doing anything?) , did not feel secure in leaving belongings in Yurt (maybe a small safe should be provided?). We had a great time, 3 nights, would not stay at this location again. Thought we had booked the entire camp ground however, this was not the case with the various visitors (it appeared that the home had several rooms and areas rented out as well with lots of comings & goings.
