After I booked the room online with a 3rd party, after unsuccessfully trying to contact somebody by phone, I received 12 emails within an hour Half seemed to be duplicates. The room was inexpensive, but the “management” company charged $20 for a cleaning fee for a 250 sq foot room for 1 night. (We always leave at least a $5 tip for housekeeping, but couldn’t stomach that after paying the cleaning fee.). The envelope in the room requesting a tip is almost offensive. The room was mostly clean, although our feet were dirty after walking barefoot on the floor. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was huge (almost the same size as the room), and well-appointed. It had a modern, massive shower. There was no place to put any luggage, nor any chairs in the room. We brought in a chair from outside. The property is in a very pretty area. The reviews mentioned a local BBQ restaurant and burger joint. Both were closed (may be open on weekends?). The room was accurately portrayed in the photos. We booked the last one available that had a queen bed, and full bunk with twin on top. There was very little room to get around the beds, and a tight squeeze between the bed and bathroom. If you had 3 people needing a bed and were on a budget, room 11 would be great. It did have a small fridge, microwave, hairdryer, wall AC unit, and wall heat unit. Table and 4 chairs outside were clean. Could hear the traffic outside, but did not bother us. Note to managers: put at least one chair in the room. And, a corner table and some hooks for luggage. The wheels at the base of the beds are a hazard to one’s toes.

The outside looks pretty run down, but once inside the room, it was heaven. Everything was brand new and sparkling clean. The only downside was there wasn't much room for our luggage and there was no place to hang out jackets. The Wi-Fi was spotty at best. Overall I would definitely stay here again. The price was great.

New remodel and clean excellent. Needed another coffee. We liked the TV programming Liked having micro, coffee and refrigerator. Tidy up the outside area. The last question in this review is racist and none of your business.

This property is being renovated and updated by the owner. But even with the updates, it cannot hide the fact that it has deep rooted problems. The shower drain does not drain, it takes 20 minutes for the water to go down. In the mean time, I was soaking my feet in dirty water all throughout showering. The smell in the room is musty, mold smelling. The bed linens were not clean, there was dirt on the foot of the bed and the comforter smelled of B.O. There’s construction trash scattered in the back of the building and all around, such as old bed frames, PVC pipes, etc. There was a mixup in our booking and the caretaker was surprised when we arrived, stating she was not expecting guests staying for 4 nights that day but she pointed us to a room and gave us a code. Later that evening, another guest was trying to pry open our room because she apparently was told in an email that she was to stay in that room and we scrambled to stop her from entering. The owner later called me and booked me over the phone, wondering why our ********** booking did not push through. This place is a mess.

While the outside still had a highway motel feel, the inside was very nice. A full remodel with attention to detail made this hotel a pleasant surprise. With a great BBQ across the street, this was a great place to stay on the way to Mammoth. With some improvement on the outside, this would be a great hotel.

It’s good for friends. This is our 2nd stay here because of the location where we are participating on yearly DeathRide event. Clean and well maintained.
