This property is a love/hate relationship. The location is peaceful and scenic. The staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The efficiency unit was a good size with a nice kitchenet and a nice screen porch. Also a beautiful pool.
Unfortunately, it needs to be refreshed starting with the mattress and all the linens and towels.

We received no assistance from clerk upon check in when we had difficulty w/ the door (our fault) despite looking at us 3 times, we received no answer to the emergency red phone. Their restaurant was not open, and we were given vague instructions to a town 10 miles away to find a restaurant. They had no map to find our room and we had to wander a while, carrying our luggage, to find the location. The air conditioner cycled on and off very loudly all night, there was no closet or place to put your luggage. There was old hair on shower and bathroom floor, a ROACH crawled on my cooler. When all of this was reported to the front desk at check out, no recompense was offered or any follow up received. We will never, ever stay here again, despite it's proximity to the Everglades and Big Cypress Preserve.

Es werden 10 Dollar Resort fee beim Check-in verlangt, die nirgends angegeben sind. Der Zimmerschlüssel ist ein 10-Stelliger Code der beim betreten und verlassen eingetippt werden muss und das Schloss/Türe klemmt. Alles in allem sehr alt und abgewohnt. Keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten oder nennenswerte Restaurants….

Inside rooms only have 1 queen bed. Doubles are in a neighborhood like atmosphere of 600sq ft kitchenettes about 4-5 to a building. No phones in rooms. No elevator. Beautiful building but could use some TLC in details. Pool area looks nice and groomed.

Giving 4 bc this place served our needs for basically just a night's stay. I'll write a separate review for the restaurant, but long story short, plan ahead and don't count on this one! Room price was fair, location is one of a kind and very unique. This is such a cool spot, but you can tell it is lacking in help and staff in general. Front desk service was good, and our room was good for our one night. Also has a store located in the marina with odds and ends you may need, similar to a gas station. I would stay again.
