very good price，not far away from city center. Easy to park the car and very clean

The rooms are really good. You might have to change the tram twice to reach the center. Staff is very friendly and tries to help you in every situation.

It's a shame that the location is a bit out of the way, but the neighborhood was quiet and nice.

The room is clean, comfortable and warm, but a little crowded

Your typical 3 star business hotel ideally located for access to Köln Messe and easy access to city center via public transport. Room was clean and staff friendly. The bar is enough for a quick drink and light meal if you don’t want to go to the city, which would be a shame! Only small comments is that there was no safe in the room and no electric sockets near the bed to charge the phone.

Really an “experience” to visit ibis Cologne Messe. I am using Accor for over 10 years all over the World but I can’t remember of such a bad hotel. Been here before … always been bad but this time it is simply to much for me. As a platinum member I would expect someone to have a room waiting - not in this hotel. Welcome drink? No one bothered to issue the voucher … had to ask. Seems all my nice Accor membership benefits are not working here. Maybe I am to demanding. The rooms it’s self are old but let’s say the standard is OK. Not perfectly clean… but seen worst. Expecting water in the room? Forget it! You can buy one at the lobby however don’t forget your wallet with you - have to pay, no chance to put it on the room without pre-authorization. Unfortunately most of the time only one person at the lobby so it will take an hour to do. Breakfast next morning … oh don’t forget to be there 1h before or you will not find anything to eat… seriously one of the worst breakfast… I think some ibis budget have a better one. Jesus!; Add food when It is finished ! Second day was a bit better, but be sure that 1min after 10:00 they will remove everything and even lock the coffee machine :) if you were lucky you got the coffee before from one of the two working machines. Leaving the room for the entire day … hoping someone will clean it? Take the garbage, replace the towel ? Nah…. Cleaning is every second day (COVID? nah?)… sorry - do it yourself. Kindly asked at the reception to bring a new towel since I left them on the floor hopping for replacement plus to put some soap in the dispenser … since it wasn’t there from the first moment ...result of my request?;for the towel I had to go down again after 3h and get it my self. Soap …. Maybe next time. On the second day I came back at 16:00… by that time still no one bothered to clean the room. After asking AGAINaround 18 while I left for 1h someone exchanged the towels and put the soap. Wow ! Great; would be even better if they would take the garbage from a full bin in the room. Bed linen folded? Forget it…Now I save the best for the end; once you manage to buy the water and get it to the room you will find out there is no glass. Not even a plastic one in the bathroom. So I went back to the bar and kindly asked for the glass. The answer from a lady was “no” … took me a while to understand what I was told … however I managed to continue the discussion asking why not? …. I was replied “because the guests steal them” :D OK..

Long waiting times at the check-in desk (even if check-in had already been done online to speed up the process); I don't understand why once you have my credit card in your systems for every activity (purchasing water at the bar, breakfast) I have to go to the desk again to pay. The lady at the entrance to the breakfast room is very rude in handling the customer if he has to pay for breakfast separately (as in my case). The room was not made up even though someone came in and only tidied up the towels without cleaning the bathroom and making the bed.

The stay was outstanding! The hotel offered comfort and style. I was particularly impressed by the evening atmosphere in the bar. The staff were extremely courteous. Highly recommended! Thank you for the great experience! See you soon!

Everything was perfect, service and cleanliness, and the price was good. The reception was good. The location was good. The view was nice. The place was quiet. The breakfast was delicious. I will rebook a room again because I liked it. It was a nice experience to book every time. I will be happy because of the service.

Very good hotel with good value for money. The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was well stocked. Our room was clean. Great hotel, with great staff and a delicious breakfast! Location: The hotel is practically right next to the trade fair. It takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the relevant entrances, but it is still quiet at night, even with the window open. The Messe/Deutz train station, which is right next to the trade fair, is also 5-10 minutes away on foot. If you want to walk a little longer, you can walk directly to the cathedral in 30-40 minutes over the Hohenzollern Bridge.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Ibis Köln Messe. The welcome was very warm. I was given very precise information about when breakfast was served, where to find my room and much more. My room itself was very spacious with a large bed. It was clean and very quiet. I slept surprisingly well. The breakfast buffet was great. So much choice. There was even fresh fruit! The service staff were very attentive. Empty plates and bowls were constantly being refilled. Public transport is very easy to reach. You can even see the Lanxess Arena!

Great hotel, wonderful location, a few steps away from the trade fair entrance and public transport. When the weather is nice, you can even walk to Cologne's old town. I felt very comfortable there. We arrived at night, but were still warmly welcomed by the staff.
