Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Staff was rude, dirty, no amenities. Nothing like the pictures.
They didn’t provide the room that I ordered as it was being under ‘painting’.
The room stank of mold, water dripping from the AC. The walls were stained from some kind of leak, with paint also crumbling off.
The bathroom was dirty, I hesitated to step in.
Hotel from a nigh**are guys. Don’t go!

Positives are that it's in a great central location near the Red Mosque and restaurants and a great price. The staff was really friendly and helpful as well and helped me arrange airport transportation. Negatives are that the internet didn't work the day I was there, the room A/C was set to 32 degrees and I couldn't adjust it, and the room and hotel itself seemed a little run down and creepy. I didn't mind too much since I was there for just a night before my flight home, though. Would recommend for short stays because of the price and location.

Seriously, other bad reviews are exagerated. People expect to have a palace for 20$?? The room was perfectly find for this kind of budget hotel. Staff was very kind and helpfull. Neighbourhood can be creepy on sundays and at night but ok during the day. Bed was confortable. I had a view on the city and the lotus tower on the 6th floor.

This hotel is A SCAMThe room I booked had nothing to do with what they gave us, the photos are FAKE. The room was dirty, the sheets were torn...and the worst was not that. The hotel is UNDER CONSTRUCTION! There were rats and men doing work at 7 in the morning, echoing throughout the building. I have been to hotels in Srilanka for the same price that have nothing to do with this. It was the only hotel that charged us before we arrived. Seriously, this hotel is not suitable for anyone's health.
