I recently stayed at the Best Western Colombo and had a mixed experience. The room was comfortable, and the lobby manager was very humble, but I faced a significant billing issue with room service. I ordered two brownies for dessert, listed at 850 LKR each on the menu and confirmed via phone. However, I was shocked to find I was charged 1540 LKR each instead. This unexpected charge doubled my total bill to 4156 LKR instead of the anticipated 2000 LKR. Initially, this experience made me want to give a 1-star review. However, the lobby manager's sincere efforts to apologize and explain the situation changed my mind to a 3-star review. Despite his efforts, the system issues prevented him from reversing the charge, and I ended up paying an unrealistic amount. While I appreciate the room comfort and the Lobby manager's dedication, this billing discrepancy has made me question whether I would choose this hotel again, even though I have chosen this location several times before. I hope management addresses such issues in the future.
