Baymont by Wyndham Latham Albany Airport

Hotel has seen better days but for budget traveler is ok.

Hotel was dirty and looks like hall were not vacuumed. No one at desk for at least 15 minutes while I kept calling. Room had all bottles of toiletries used. While waiting in lobby, 2 guests came up to complain no towels and the other no hot water.

Although very convenient and close to the airport, this property needs a total facelift. Shuttle driver was also the front desk person and who knows what else. Shuttle appeared to be a personal vehicle which they squeezed for people into the backseat.

I would like my refund i was charged for two night for staying in a dirty room because nothing was available plus the shower was dirty like the last person that stayed in da room showered and it was left durty with rim around the tub

It’s not worth the hassle. Go somewhere else. Staff tries, but management is too cheap to pay for enough employees. The desk clerk picked me up in his own car.

Breakfast was warm coffee and a muffin. No other choices. Room with poor condition of tub. Lights not working in room. Unfriendly reception.

Overall it was OK. The room was clean and comfortable. TV channels were actually pretty good. I got here at 3pm. The king rooms were not ready. I took a 2 queen bed room which worked better since I had my daughter here. She can have her own bed. We didn’t go to breakfast, not sure what it was like. We were going to a martial arts tournament and we wanted to go to the gym. It’s not open. They said it’s “under maintenance”?! The water pressure was not great including the toilet. When we actually used the toilet in the last night, it didn’t work. There is no maintenance person. The desk said he would have the housekeeper to check?? When her and the desk manager came, she said she’s done for the night. That was 3pm or so. He said we can switch rooms but we were leaving in the morning and I wasn’t really wanting to move rooms now. When I just got home, I checked my card and they charged $20 over what ******* told me including the tax. The other issue was getting in touch with the desk. The only way I can get the desk, was to call on the main phone on my reservation. Overall it was doable but not sure if I’d go there again. It’s cheep which is great but you have to take the good with the bad.

-Reception was very rude. At check-in they didn't greet us in any way, just barked "ID and credit card!" -Hot water was luke-warm. -Faucet in bathroom ran continuously. Instead if fixing it it had been shut off at valve underneath so when we tried to use it it didn't work until we realized what they had done. -Bathroom door was falling off hinge and did not close properly. -Tub drain was clogged. -When booking a free breakfast was indicated but there was nothing but 3 old looking muffins in plastic wrap. -Only positive was bed was comfortable and room did not stink of stale cigarette smoke.

This was a very delightful stay. My room was clean, the bed was comfy and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely stay here again! Thank you for an enjoyable stay Baymont!
