Holiday Inn Express & Suites COLORADO SPRINGS NORTH by IHG

The service was great and the hotel staff are courteous. The hotel is clean and with good mountain view.

Just don't. This is the Holiday Inn EXPRESS of which I speak, not the Holiday Inn next door which was immaculate when we stayed albeit under construction. ( diff owner. I was told).) We have stayed at Holiday Inn Express exclusively due to my husband's business travel. Mostly good but over the last few years definitely going downhill. This was our fifth time to stay at this particular Holiday Inn Express. Had misgivings about staying there again because the previous time there appeared to be families living in the hotel who would show up at breakfast in slippers and bathrobes every morning at breakfast. Bags of garbage in the halls. -the lobby is very clean -breakfast eating area is very clean and well-stocked. Standard free breakfast. -they upgraded us to a suite Ok. The suite. -Filthy carpet. Gross spots on the carpet. Lots of them. - Bedding had clearly not been changed. Wrinkled, hair in the bed. My husband went down and requested clean sheets from the front desk. They said housekeeping would bring them. Never happened. I was going to change them myself but they never arrived. It was late. Finally we just slept in those nasty sheets. I requested a bed change the next day. They did not enter our room EVER for the four nights we were there except to bring towels which we had to ask for. I asked at the front desk for clean sheets. Nope. Housekeeping had to bring them. They finally did with attitude. Two top sheets for a double bed, so too small. That's what we used. -gross white crusty spots on the couch and other strange stains -absolutely filthy pull -out sofa mattress with black mold and yellow stains -Bathroom seemed clean -dead bugs here and there -greasy hand prints on sliding glass door -mattress was wallowed out down to the metal frame on one side. Had to sleep in the middle of the bed. -oh! And the bugs. My husband got about 30 bug bites on his neck, face, shoulders and hands, seemingly from the pillows on the bed. I used my own pillow, no bug bites. This is just an overview. Just go next door to the Holiday Inn, skip the Express.

Staff was friendly and helpful the room was really clean and maintained clean by the staff thought our stay.

The room we were told in the morning should not have been rented. It had over 30 dead flies, no remote, no working heater or fridgerator.The hot tub was dirty and the pool had air conditioner blasting. We were told because we made reservations through ******* no type of refund on Holliday Inn or credit could be issused. Poor staffing and management. Only morning lady Ashley was apologetic in the morning. We quickly left and checked into an hotel that was clean and friendly.

The bathroom needed several repairs, definitely not up to Holiday Inn Express standards!

Everything about making this choice was great -- especially the view! Right near the highway, pleasant staff, comfortable room, good beds, very clean, GREAT breakfast. And a decent price.

Breakfast menu was missing bacon. And my room ac was working the best for someone In menopause

We arrived late evening but were greeted immediately by very friendly staff. Our room was clean with very comfortable beds and pillows. A different but equally friendly staff member greeted us as we returned from a concert and late dinner. Checkout was easy with a third friendly staff member.

Room was very clean. It was nice to have the pull out couch.
