Absolutely loved our stay here. So welcoming, staff lovely, character hotel, but everything perfect...great rooms, lovely comfortable beds, lovely crisp bedding and fluffy towels. So clean. Bar/ dining area so full of character. Evening meal.. excellent and piping hot. Breakfast..great. highly recommend. Definitely be back. Lots of parking .

We went for lunch on way home from Haverigg Unfortunately had to return the vegetable soup as was very acidic and tasted awful! Passing by another table, the gentleman noticed me bringing my soup back and said he’d encountered the same.We were given an alternative and not charged.Service was quite slow also which seemed to be because of kitchen..

Went for lunch Easter Saturday...2nd or 3rd time I have been and keep meaning to right a review.. food is all homemade and is absolutely gorgeous...service was great and so friendly...very chilled out lunch...homemade garlic mushrooms are so good. Would highly recommend.

For what we paid, it was very good,good facilities in the room iron and board/fan/hairdrier, lovely bathroom, comfy bed, sorry to say food is only mediocre(nothing wrong with it) just the price ie. £18 for fish/chips, £17 for chilli/rice, quite OTT, the staff are very nice

Stayed in a family room with my friend and her daughter. Nice and clean, good sized bathroom with bath, TV, kettle with tea/coffee etc, small table and chairs in our room with a double and a single bed. We were on the first floor, with some sort of patio outside the room. Quiet nights sleep despite the road being close by, but it was a bit too hot in the room and we were a bit concerned about opening the windo since it had no catch and could open all the way out onto the patio. Not sure if anyone could access the patio from outside but we didn't really want to risk it. Other than that it was all very nice and I'd stay there again.

Staff were excellent and very attentive. The room was lovely with enough space to move around, the bathroom was very nicely decorated and clean and the shower and bath were good. Breakfast was good and served quickly, along with our evening meal, the food was excellent.

This is such a lovely place to stay. It is cosy warm and welcoming. The rooms are good size and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. It's very accessible from the major roads but near to some very beautiful places.

Really nice hotel in a good location with good food options. Only downside was the Wi-Fi was weak and there was no signal, which made it hard to plan trips
