SpringHill Suites Columbia

We had a great stay here. The front desk staff was friendly. We like the location of the hotel. My kids love their breakfast buffet with fresh fruit and waffles. The room was very spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our stay here. We will definitely come back.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay July 4. The young guy at the desk at 5:10p was very kind and personable. We had a king suite, room 312. It had 4 floors. It was built in 2018, clean, comfy beds, sofabed, long hammock with long wooden tray on it, desk and chair, spacious room, large bathroom, lavendar eucalyptus body wash, shampoo and conditioner, nice window treatments, dark at night to sleep easily, fridge and microwave in cabinet, long bench to set luggage, frosted glass bathroom door. We loved the hot breakfast--scrambled eggs, pork bacon, spinach Swiss cheese quiche, fresh pineapple, oranges, bananas, blueberry muffins, cereal, chocolate milk, Chobani vanilla Greek yogurt, juices--apple, cranberry and orange, make-your-own waffles, hot oatmeal with sliced almonds, coconut, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, raisins, brown sugar, candied walnuts, chocolate chips. Our adventure just off I-70 in Casey, IL with the theme Big Things in a Small Town with 12 world's largest things and other Big Things was so much fun! Landscaping was beautiful! Worth a 1-2 hour stop!

We stayed here one night and it's okay. First, it was clean. That's always the most important thing to me. The beds were pretty comfortable. The suite had enough room for us to spread out. We even got food from the Mexican place next door and had plenty of space and table area to eat in the room. We were exhausted from the drive and just didn't feel like eating at the actual restaurant. The three things that knocked the rating the most were the window, the desk partition, and the bathroom door. The desk partition was loose, I suppose so someone had shoved a piece of cardboard in the track to keep it from moving. However, it just rattled every time someone walked past it. So that was a little annoying, but nothing major. The next thing is the bathroom door. There is nothing physically wrong with it, but the design isn't great. It is frosted glass which looks fantastic. However, when you are up early for showers and everyone else is sleeping, it does nothing to block the light. Unfortunately, it is right across from the beds so once one of us was up, the rest of us in the beds were up. Our son stayed happily asleep on the pull out couch. Again, structurally, the door worked fine and it was aesthetically nice, but not a great choice. The worst thing was the window. It wasn't latched all the way and the locking mechanism was bent so there was no way for it to be latched all the way. So it was letting in cold air and noise from sirens going by all night, which wasn't pleasant. We did tell the desk representative when we checked out, just in case they didn't know about the above. Make sure to check for the sheet for the pull out if you are going to use it and check the number of towels because we didn't have the sheet or enough towels for 4 people. We just went to the desk and they got them for us, but just a heads up. I probably would give this 3.5 stars if I could do halfs on here, but I can't.

Very nice hotel! One of the largest rooms I have stayed in with two full size beds, couch, chair, walk in large closet, large bathroom, desk and refrigerator. Beds are very comfortable, room clean and cool on July 5. Interior bathroom door handle was missing a screw to hold it in place and there was small damage to the wallpaper. Overall excellent value considering the large space.

Springhill Suites are generally clean and have a nice set of amenities. There are some weeks I will spend in a Springhill. This property does not meet the standards I would normally expect. Just keep these things in mind before your next visit. 1. There is minimal staff day and night. So to wait for someone to be at the front desk is very common. 2. There are no telephones or alarm clocks in the rooms. 3. There is no hand soap provided. We had to go out and purchase soap. Hotels explanation was they had body wash in the shower. 4. While relatively new, the AC units seem challenged. 5. They are very stingy on towels. I had to keep going down to get each set. I would not recommend a stay here. With my loyalty to Marriott, there are plenty of Marriott options in the area.

Worst Marriott experience ever. Can't get coffee until after 7am. They don't give you water to make coffee in your room. You have the option to buy their high priced water but we decided to just go buy a good breakfast. Staff was not the best. They could care less how your stay was or if you needed anything. Only thing going for it. The room was clean. But then again it's a new hotel. Give it time. Won't stay again.

Disability/Handicapped Suite 114 was spacious and clean.A/C worked well. Note that although website indicates a hairdryer is available that one will not be in the room or available. Average free breakfast will be setup 7:15-7:30am and not 6:30am as indicated. Several people we spoke with that had been staying multiple days indicated that the manager appeared annoyed at being told that the "hot" water was lukewarm at best. We experienced the same with an annoyed reply from the manage that they'd "open a work order" about the lack of any reasonably warm water. Their Internet was down when we checked in and VERY HELPFUL and APOLOGETIC front desk clerk did FANTASTIC job of creating room keys and accommodating the influx of people registering because of attending the school event.

Don’t stay here. Arrived around 10 at night with 3 kids and were told that they did not have any rooms available despite having a reservation. The Marriott employee was very rude and did not offer to help us in any way. Basically - just sorry your reservation is no good any longer - see you later. I also have Marriott Bonvoy elite status which provides a reservation guarantee - which doesn’t seem to apply to this poorly operated Marriott property. I probably should have read other reviews online first because I have never seen so many negative reviews for a small sample size. Don’t trust this hotel - if you have a reservation - they might not honor it.

We stayed in a King Suite. Beautiful room, clean comfortable, quality. Bathroom is nice, clean and large. Love the shower, the shampoo and conditioner are not basic and the fog free mirror is a great addition Breakfast was great, warm, and a good selection. Worth the money
