Colwall Park - Hotel, Bar & Restaurant

A wonderful relaxing holiday. We’ve. Been to Colwall Park many times over the years when visiting the Malvern Flower Show. It is always a very enjoyable experience due mainly to the excellent welcoming staff there led by Matt, the manager who never gets flustered and you feel could sort any problem out. Also worthy of special mention are Debs who kept the room spotless and was very helpful, Rowan for such cheerful attentive service in the restaurant and Tina on the desk. Room 1 is a very spacious room with a massive comfortable bed and is our favourite. The en-suite is looking it’s age and badly needs a refurb. The breakfast is very good and the dinner menu adequate for a four day stay and the food is well cooked and presented. There have been several owners over the 25 years we have been staying there and the current ones I believe also own a spa hotel in Malvern. I hope they invest some money in Colwall Park to bring it back up to prime condition and realise its attraction to the guests there, many of whom are elderly is it’s comfortable ambience and super staff.

Stayed for two nights whilst attending the Malvern RHS show. Bedroom was very comfortable .Overall a very pleasant stay. Attentive staff. Breakfast very good and had dinner there one night which was well cooked and presented. Rear garden was very pleasant to sit in with a drink. Thoroughly enjoyable and would certainly stay there again.

Set in a charming village Colwall Park is an attractive old building, close to the railway station and village shop. Breakfasts are cooked freshly and are excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 2nd floor, and there are no lifts, so pack lightly. Our bathroom had a bath with shower above, but nylon shower curtains are very old fashioned and seldom user-friendly. The shower itself was more wish-washy than gushy-gushy, this despite the ionic shower head. We all have different ideas of the ideal mattress and pillows, and I found both to be a tad uncomfortable. Still, it was fine and handy for the Malvern RHS Spring show.

We had a lovely relaxed stay at Colwall Park. The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed chilling out in the bar in front of the cosy logburner while it poured down outside! We also enjoyed a delicious meal later on. Apart from a few cobwebs up in the rafters, everything was clean and very comfortable. We hope to come again in better weather so we can walk!

Just tried the Monday night curry club. Really good value for 3 courses . Brilliant starter, main, poppadoms and dips. And a free bottle of peroni. Great staff really attentive and good timing between starters,mains etc. Nice to see the locals reacting positively to a new endeavour.

From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had an evening meal on the day of arrival which was much better than expected although the choice was limited and the service was exemplary. The hotel was very clean and comfortable but it is showing signs of age and would benefit from an overhaul. Nevertheless it was very good value for money

Fantastic and genuine service made our stay a true pleasure. The staff was so helpful and significantly reduced the stress of travelling with a baby. Charming hotel with nice walks nearby. Would definitely stay again and highly reco

What a great hotel! As dog owners, it’s fantastic to find such a welcoming place for us and our pooch! They absolutely love dogs and personal touches such as a dog bed, bowl and a bag of dog treats will have us coming back again and again. What makes this place stand out though, is the staff. Everybody is friendly, welcoming and genuinely seem pleased to have you staying. Food in the bar was well priced and tasty, breakfast was amazing. Would highly recommend.

8 of us stayed here over night for an 80th Birthday Party. We had been in regular contact with the hotel as we’d booked a function room months in advance and pre-ordered food. We had booked the function room from 6pm and were told it would be able to set up in the room from 5pm. Despite this there seemed to be have been some confusion as upon arrival we were told the function room would be available from 7pm, as they were serving afternoon teas in that room today. We had other family members joining us at 6pm with young children so couldn’t push the start time back by an hour. The staff were very accommodating and moved us to a different room which we could have from 6pm as planned. The function itself was lovely and was enjoyed by all. The hotel appeared tired. We were in room 2 and our bathroom had not been cleaned prior to us as there was hair in the shower & the bathroom bin was full. We raised with the staff that the shower did not work, the toilet did not flush and the tap broke off. They apologised and said they would get maintenance to fix the room, however this didn’t help us not being able to have showers and having to flush the toilet with the bin. Personally we wouldn’t return and we wouldn’t agree that the hotel was 3 stars, however the staff were genuinely lovely.
