Stay anywhere else, but don't stay here...you will regret it!!! We are hiking the Camino and have been quite happy with all accommodations so far. Last evening we stayed at Complegjo O Pineiral, and had a genuinely terrible experience. We were greeted by an uncommunicative and slightly surly desk attendant who we needed to track down. He seemed particularly put out when we simply asked for a receipt. After checking in to our relatively OK room we headed to the bar to grab a beer and were greeted by a bartender that seemed angry, and we were wondering if it was something we said. When ti came time for dinner the waiter (same guy who checked us in) was of no help in understanding the menu, so we ordered a large steak for two, asking if we could have one side medium rare and one medium well done. Eventually he brought our a large €50 steak (which was truly really good) but was pretty rare. We were OK with this, concluding that he didn't understand our rudimentary Spanish, so we ate it. After we finished, he brought a second steak, even though we of course only ordered one. We concluded that he assumed that we wanted on medium well and one medium rare, but surprisingly the second steak was also really rare! At this point communicating with this waiter was pointless, and I didn't want to be difficult, so we shared the second steak with some fellow hikers, and ponied up the additional €50. Believe it or not it got worse! We headed up to bed at 10:00PM, but the restaurant was holding a fundraising event starting at 10:00. By 10:30 there was loud music and a lot of noise that seemed to echo through the Albergue. It continued until 3:30 AM, making it really impossible to sleep. We set the alarm for 6:30 AM intent to grab breakfast at 7:00 so we could hit the trail. At 7:00 there was not a soul in sight from the hotel, just some fellow hikers wondering where breakfast was. Finally at 8:00 we just left as it seemed clear that nobody was going to handle breakfast. We heard from other hikers that at 8:15 someone finally showed up and put out breakfast, but we were long gone. IT SEEMS LIKE THESE GUYS HAVE A DISDAIN FOR THEIR GUESTS, AND I COULDN'T MORE EXPLICITLY RECOMMEND NOT STAYING WITH THESE GUYS...THEY ARE TRULY AWFUL AT WHAT THEY DO.
