We have stayed at many RIU hotels and this was beyond disappointing. Imagine a Travelodge had a baby with a David Lloyd swimming pool and then that baby was raised in a prison and this is the result. My husband and I came for a week to celebrate my birthday and it was so horrific we spent the first two days of our trip figuring out how to leave. We paid £500 extra to spend the remaining days at the RIU Gran Canaria, which was much better. RIU was uninterested in our dissatisfaction and because we had booked with TUI were very clear that it was TUI’s responsibility for selling us on the very misleading sales pitch. Had it been a cheap deal I might have been inclined to tough it out for the week but for the price we paid we didn’t expect such a ghetto hotel. The staff were super kind and friendly and it is certainly not their fault, it’s the standard of the premises.

First time to Gran Canaria. What a lovely place. Our hotel was beautiful. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel is totally accessible. We hired a mobility scooter which you could use all round hotel, even take up to your room. The food was fine, something for everyone. We tried both Spanish and Asian restaurants. Spanish was same as what you get in main restaurant. Asian was very nice. Pool fully accessible with plenty of sun beds. The hotel is spotless. There are plenty of toilets by poolside. My only chritism is where the smoking area is located. Right by outside bar. You have to walk throught it to get to toilets or entertainment in evennings. The entertainment not the best. Although the entertainment team work very hard.Tui rep was excellent. Very knowledgeable and helpful. All in all a fab holiday. Will definately be going back

We visit this hotel every year four times spacing the visits roughly every 12 weeks…need we say more? The staff really make this place something special and I do hope they are rewarded for their efforts We always have a garden facing room so you’re looking onto the pool and gardens rather than out over looking neighbouring hotels but I’m sure the view is equally as beautiful Rooms modern clean and inviting Food varies daily and at every meal catering to all wants and needs Look side snacks and late night snacks are always welcomed when needing a nibble in the night or mid day Drinks are premium brands which is lovely to see Plenty of sun beds and never an issue to get one Location is wonderful, ten minutes walk to the beach OR use the hotels free shuttle bus to and from the beach throughout the morning and afternoon - if you miss them a taxi anywhere in playa Inglés within a two mile radius is always the set rate of €3.65 so worth noting if you’re not feeling a walk back (€5ish on an evening) You’re ten mins from the Yumbo which is full of shops and bars full of entertainment on the evening Cita centre is 20mins walk full of bars restaurants and “adult fun” clubs and pubs nudge nudge wink wink In short, we wouldn’t come here every three months if EVERYTHING wasn’t perfect…an it is We are already counting down to our next visit and we only got back two days ago! Trust me and try it!

Perfect hotel, staff amazing they couldn’t do enough for you! Hotel was extremely clean, both bar were great and never any queues! The restaurant was amazing show cooking and variety of food was fantastic. Loads of sunbeds and entertainment day and night was brilliant

Ideal location Staff friendly,make you feel very welcome Hotel:grounds are Immaculately clean The Bed/pillows arevery comfortable , I had the best nights sleep Large rooms Entertainment team are excellent , and hardworking Brilliant party nights ! Plenty of sunbeds around the pool and sun terraces , Free bus to the beach Suitable for all ages

I’ve stayed here 4 times, it’s a wonderful hotel, very clean and the staff in all departments are so friendly and happy. Food is wonderful, huge selection and the two themed restaurants add even more variety. My favourite restaurant member of staff being cristos, he always remembers me, and takes the time to say hello. I feel very safe here as a solo traveller as it’s 24 hour service. The entertainment team work so hard, and always put on a good show. Shame most entertainment stops at 10pm, but that maybe a ‘local’ noise law. I shall be back

The hotel is nice, the location was great for us, the only thing let down was the cleanliness of the room, and there isn’t any iron available (not even requesting at the reception), only laundry service at extra cost. The animation were great and the staff members were really nice. The food was average some days, and fantastic on others, I believe it’s because my view is that there was not a lot of rotation of variety. The Ole restaurant was fantastic definitely worth a booking. Overall a great hotel we will comeback for sure.
