Coin Sayonarde In the glorious shadow of Mont Blanc, the ‘Coin’ has all you expect from a cosy Alpine retreat. Quaint, warm, comfortable, well-located and reasonably priced, the hotel also boasts an excellent restaurant and friendly English-speaking staff. My lovely room was wood-panelled with good-sized bed, a little balcony, a fine bathroom, good wifi, large screen TV and a kettle, tea and coffee. Some rooms have mountain views. In the summer, there is a swimming pool. Breakfast is a little chaotic… there are nice breads, tea, coffee, juices, some meats and cheeses and fruits, but it’s all arranged in a tight buffet area, with a quaint - and tricky - contraption for boiling eggs. Located close to the town centre, within walking distance of all amenities, the hotel has the huge benefit of a skibus stop right outside. Highly recommended. A special word for the manageress who, on hearing I wanted to try to speak French, persisted patiently and helpfully over several days… thank you!
