Mais en cette période ,entrer dans une chambre froide équipée d'un radiateur ”petit” ,fait que le temps qu'elle met à atteindre une température ambiant ”normale” vous oblige presque à conserver son blouson (humour , pas vraiment...) d'ou le titre de mon avis , car pour l ensemble vous méritez un 4....

Surprisingly good! The rooms where very clean and recently refurbished. The shower was great, warm and a good pressure. The food in the restaurant was lovely! Would really recommend eating at the hotel as there doesn’t seem to be much around. The staff were all so welcoming and kind! Our French wasn’t great but luckily we all managed!! The only thing I would say to improve would be for tea and coffee to be supplied in the room, there was a kettle but no tea and coffee.

This is a wonderful place with an excellent breakfast room, serving a delicious variety of morning fare. Modern touches in the ancient city of Quimper. We loved the views from our room window, and as I am an oil painter here in New Mexico, I've painted the view with satisfaction. The staff was pleasant and attentive. And as I walk with a cane, I was happy to find a handicapped-designated parking place directly across from the hotel entrance. When we return to Brittany, Quimper, and this hotel, will be on our travel list.

The lovely setting, the history of the hotel and its quiet grace make this a very desirable place to settle in and enjoy the beauty of Brittany. As we were leaving, I had in mind some minor criticisms. But some miles under the belt and the memory is very positive. The starred restaurant was closed (Sunday and Monday) during our stay, and we would have enjoyed trying it. Their sister restaurant, down on the harbor, is a decent bistro, but not a destination venue. The grounds and architecture of the house are delightful. The bedrooms are fine, a little basic for a four star hotel, but quite comfortable. As to breakfast, we would have preferred stronger coffee, but the scrambled eggs cooked to order were excellent and the lady in the breakfast room could not have been more gracious. Wifi was sketchy, and the front desk made several adjustments to a router in the hall. The internet still came and went. The main takeaway is that this is a charming town and the hotel has the prime location. It sits at a perfect viewpoint, with understated style, some distinctive art work in the public spaces. The staff is congenial and helpful. We would return.
