~~This venue is breathtaking!!~~ Lovely, very unique & had that vintage feel we were looking for. The outdoor patio & indoor ballroom areas have wonderful views & natural light. And Kim is AMAZING!

This place, simply amazing and rustic. I traveled from San Diego California to provide DJ services for Frank and Roberta's wedding. First off this place was very rustic and sat right off of a lake. I was told by several staff that the hotel was ******* and the really old phone booth in the lobby lent to the story because it was disconnected but would still ring on occasion so I was told. The couple had their wedding in the ballroom on the second floor. That ballroom was absolutely beautiful and when the couple added their touch to the design of the room as far as table linen and colors and decotr it was even more stunning and amazing. The staff at the hotel were top notch. Seems like they were all locals. Not sure why I’m surprised at that. Maybe because this place is more like a getaway/resort. Never the less the staff was very pleasant and nice and accommodating. It seemed that they all new the story of the ghosts and were all too willing to share. I didn't mind because it really added to my experience however I didn't see any ghosts though. There is a little bar on the side of the hotel entrance so when I arrived had just closed and some of the guests were sitting on the porch of the hotel. I have to admit that was a little odd to me being that I live in San Diego in the city and the country living isn't something that I experience that often but I thought it was fun to do that. So during my stay I literally went to enjoy the bar and sat out on the porch with the locals and some of the wedding guests. I actually thought how cool it was to be a Conneaut lake wedding DJ even for only one night. There was a lot going on there. They had a band on the beach and the beach was teeming with people. They had a little carnival going on that seemed fun. I didn't go over there to check it out being that I was to perform at the wedding that evening. My visit was in June and the weather was beautiful. I was very curious what it looked like in the winter. There were homes all around and I couldn’t help but think how beautiful it looks in the winter around Chris**as time. Probably just like out of the magazine of what a Chris**as scenery should look like. There was also some cafe's and eateries in the area. I was so surprised to find out how inexpensive it was to eat. I can't remember the cafe that I went to but I got a full out breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy for like $9. Ummm not in San Diego for sure!!! So overalll I give this place a huge thumbs up and so glad that they helped contribute to the awesomeness of my visit. By the way the wedding was beautiful, the bride and groom are completely amazing people and it was a joy to provide my services for them at that location 4,500 miles away from the Becks Entertainment and DJ Service office.

The "restaurant" leaves a lot to be desired. The staff needs to be coached as to how to greet diners especially since we waited so long - unlike the others that gave up and left. First they opened almost an hour late. When they finally opened the door there was no thank you for coming, please be seated, or an offer of a menu or drinks. They took their time setting up the bar and only then brought menus. The food was ok but the entire experience was not something that I could recommend or venture to again. It was just what you would find at your average pub.

*Wedding review* Hi! My husband and I were recently married 12/10/2022 in Conneaut Lake, PA. We have so many GOOD things to say about the vendors we used, that we hope can help someone else. We cannot speak highly enough about the wedding venue we chose: The Hotel Conneaut. Kim DeRose, the wedding coordinator, is the definition of accommodating and good people. She made our wedding dreams look like they were straight out of a Hallmark movie! If you’re a bride considering a winter wedding (or any season really, during summer you can be married on their grass doc) at an AFFORDABLE PRICE ACROSS A LAKE, look no further! The weekend of our wedding, we had the whole hotel to ourselves (and our wedding guests) due to the hotel’s offseason. It was so nice to spend the weekend with everyone we love under one roof not worrying about having to have our guests drive after our reception. During the Chris**as season, property owners around the lake put up Chris**as trees on their docks (you get the most perfect view of the lights from the hotel). Upon meeting Kim, we were greeted with the biggest hug. The whole hotel staff, shout out to Marty, we’re so so friendly, they would literally do anything for us. Kim was very focused to meeting any request we asked and we felt valued. Kim sat down with us several times to go through our plans. Kim and the hotel offer an annual bridal show onsite where they present to you, along with other couples getting married for the year, a demo of what it will look like on wedding day. The trea**ent and charm that you wouldn’t receive from a big overpriced venue. We seriously consider her to be a friend. There’s a saying that goes “don’t judge a book by its cover”: Their old ballroom was completely transformed into such an elegant and modern display! Also, they host the cocktail hour in the other ballroom that had the biggest charcuterie board, like ever. We got so many compliments from our guests of our wedding being the best wedding that they’ve attended throughout the year! The hotel provides ALL of the decorations, the alcohol, and food in the cost. The hotel has 2 onsite bridal suites where the bridal parties can get ready. And the hotel is pet friendly! There are so many good places for photo ops. And they had propane heaters outside so our guests could step off the dance floor to check out the trees, outside. An unforgettable venue that doesn’t get nearly enough attention. We highly recommend you consider!

This is a beautiful location. The hotel has seen better days and could use lots of love and care. I would love to see some renovations to bring this hotel back to its glory days. However the ballroom was modern and decorated beautifully for the wedding. The staff are top notch and know hospitality!
