The Castle Hotel, Conwy, North Wales

I definitely recommend this hotel.

Quaint room in great setting, excellent parking and very dog friendly. Nice touch with dog bed, water bowl and dog treat m.

I was originally placed in a room that I was quite unhappy about. It was tucked away off the main hallway, felt like a converted janitor's closet, pointed towards the car park, was above the kitchen, and there was lots of noise. Earplugs already on the nightstand indicated to me that they knew this room was noisy. The next morning, I asked if any other rooms were available for me to switch. Luckily, there was one on the top floor that faced the street. They permitted me to take a look, and within one second, I felt it was 100 times better. I switched immediately, and was extremely happy to be able to spend the remaining nights in the new room. I realize that rooms will be heavily dependent on the rate you chose or the roll of the dice, but I found my new room to be cozy and just what I wanted. Staff was amazing. Not only to accommodate me, but they were very friendly whenever I encountered them in the common areas, including the turndown crew, who always greeted me with a "good morning" and a warm smile. A note for the handicapped/disabled... unfortunately, this is not a forgiving hotel. Personally, I use a cane to get around, and there is no lift, and even within each floor there is a small set of stairs, so you will get your workout simply going to breakfast! I believe it will be near impossible for wheelchair users, unless you have a Herculean individual to carry you around. I also quite enjoyed breakfast on the day of check-out. Great location, with parking on site.

This hotel welcomed us and our 5 month old with open arms, the staff could not do enough for us. The family room was gorgeous and a lovely cot with clean linen! There wasn’t a lift but the staff helped us every time on the stairs it was just so friendly!!! we will be back!

We had a wonderful stay last year and we were hoping we would have another great stay. We were not disappointed. From start to finish this is such a nice hotel with loads of character. We arrived early so we could have a full day. No problems with us parking well before check in and were allowed in the room well before check in. A special thanks to Carol for sorting my wife out with the bath which I had forgotten to ask for and to all the staff including Daniella and Jack and the cleaners who provide you with an immaculate room. The evening meal and breakfast were perfect. All in all another really good overnight stay. We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to our friends and family
