We were looking forward to our visit to Groes Inn, as it had been recommended to us. The outside is beautiful and the inn has history, but inside on the night we visited it was a bit of a let down, the table had a bench seat that was too high to be able to sit at and eat at the table - so I was left perched on the end of the table with a solid table-end to contend with. We had the Sunday roast - and chose beef - thinking it would be a carvery or at least home roasted - how wrong!!! The beef was a bland, tasteless, rubbery pre-sliced catering beef slices, smothered in horseradish we ate, as we were tired and the food was hot. We did enjoy our dessert of Raspberry Arctic Roll and our server was really pleasant.
