It was very hot outside, but the room was comfortable without air conditioning. I am very grateful to the staff for being so kind to me.
There don't seem to be many restaurants in town, but the rooms are stocked with plates and cutlery, and you can eat food you buy at the supermarket or take out. It was also a great experience to try Australian Vegemite for breakfast.
Perhaps because it wasn't the peak season, there were often no people at the front desk, but I don't think there will be any problems if you communicate well in advance.

It was a lovely place to stay if one was after an underground experience. The space was large and we did not feel claustrophobic at all.
However, the cafe was not open despite good level of occupancy.

The view from the balcony of the room is very good, facing the sea. The facilities are complete and you can cook by yourself. There are tableware and pots in the room.

My tour stayed here. Great place- the hotel is interesting- mostly underground but some surface level rooms too. The walls are thick so it's quiet and dark! So wonderfully dark for sleeping but you do lose a sense of time. There are several areas to sit and relax in the hotel and each room has a couple of pedetal fans. The rooms are quite warm, but I didnt find it excessively hot. Small bathrooms, fridge and tv in room. Hotel is a 10 min walk from the supermarket....few restaurants near by. For a true Coober Pedy experience of staying underground it's a tick from me. It's not 5 star but is comfortable enough. The sheets were really nice to sleep on too!

We did not end up staying at this hotel as when I asked about non pet friendly rooms I was replied that this hotel had rooms especially that no pets has been in the room but when I called the hotel direct they informed me all their rooms have had pets in them but are cleaned extensively
