Alpine Motel of Cooke City

Great stay while exploring Yellowstone and Cooke City. Cooke City is a very small mountain town with not many amenities... do your research! Our room (#11) was warm upon our arrival and cozy. Refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker were in the room. The queen bed was comfortable and we brought our own dinner and wine (in case restaurants were not open) There is a small table, chair and stool in the room as well. Thanks Chad! We will return on our next winter trip.

Cute motel in the serene setting of Cooke City and the snowy Absaroka Mountains. Booked the two bedroom suite - it was wonderful! It was located on the second floor and had spectacular views from both bedrooms and from the sitting area. Full kitchen with everything you need and a very spacious sitting area with a large table and couch. Wish we could have stayed longer, will absolutely stay here again! Thank you - awesome stay!! :)

It's a good property for the price. I would stay there again. A piece of advice, Bring your own food unless you're there on a weekend. Because there's nothing open except the little pizza parlor across the street. They don't open till 4pm.

We spend three nights in Cooke City while we hiked in the area and we were very comfortable in our room at Alpine. Very clean, good bed, super hot shower, fridge and microwave, small table and chairs, laundry facilities, two outside chairs with a good mountain view of the sunset, pleasant owners, We'll stay again.

The Alpine Motel of Cooke City was an affordable place to stay on our vacation trip to Yellowstone NP. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. While they are small (we chose the Queen room for 2) it brings a sense of peace nestled in the forest. We were very impressed with the nice touches of caring kindness that a put smile on our faces. Beautiful large hanging baskets of flowers were an incredible gestures of courtesy and kindness that brings an element of joy. We chose the Alpine Motel due to their proximity to Yellowstone National Park and their price as well as a relaxing and affordable place to stay. We were not disappointed. Rooms were clean. Bed was cozy. Rooms have a fridge (but it does need upgraded as ours was frosted over). Staff is very friendly and pleasantly welcoming. They also have an on-site laundry ($5 complete for washing / drying). The bathrooms definitely need updating. We found this place ti be a great place to stay on a limited budget. 👍

I stayed at Alpine Motel for 2 nights in order to be close to Lamar Valley for wildlife viewing. It was an excellent choice. The room/bed is clean and comfortable, hot water is ample, heat is blasting full force in the middle of dead winter. It provides me everything I need, and I will be happy to return here again for my next visit to Yellowstone. Cooke City is a small town, about 1 mile long. There is no mobile reception here, but the internet at the motel is fast enough to get basic things like emailing and instant messaging done. There are limited eateries during the winter so plan accordingly, but there will always be at least one place open for business. There is a gas station in town.
