The Banyan Inn

BEWARE-THIS PLACE IS IN LITIGATION AND WILL NOT FOLLOW THRU ON YOUR TRIP. We had a trip for later this year cancelled on us and there is no refund of your money...we have contacted them numerous times and the apparently new owners. No one responds, calls you back and you are on your own. They are not open, honoring future reservations OR returning your money for the reservations they took compensation for.

I've traveled to over 100 countries and stayed in thousands of hotels, resorts, guesthouses but the Banyan Inn is my favorite! When my boyfriend and I arrived, it felt like home. The property is beautiful, quiet, charming and quaint with a refreshing pool too. It had a bed and breakfast type vibe (with only 6 rooms) which I loved. The place felt very authentic, peaceful and relaxing. Amy (the owner) is a kind, friendly, lovely and gracious host with a beautiful soul. She is so detail-oriented and helps you with anything you need. She let us borrow her jeep to go grocery shopping and to the karaoke bar. She took us out to dinner and the Thursday Fish Fry. She gave us so much helpful information too. She even rescued us when our kayak almost sunk. I can't even tell you how appreciative and grateful I am that I met her. She is like a sister to me and part of my family. She made my vacation so special and memorable. I also enjoyed the late night chats, happy hour, all her incredible stories/advice and all the moments we shared exploring the island. Thank you, Amy! I loved my stay here and can't wait to return! By the way, the bed is so comfortable! My bf and I wanted to stay in it all day. We also loved the open shower and views of the canal and ocean. Don't forget to watch the gorgeous sunset from the patio and check out the private beach (with the kayak). For dinner and live music, check out Bob's. Just a short walk from Banyan Inn. Also, the Sunscreen, bug spray, towels, chairs, umbrellas, kayak and snorkel is included too. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation! Enjoy!

The Banyan Inn was exactly what my friend and I were looking for, an incredibly peaceful and beautiful getaway from our normally busy lives!! This had a real bed and breakfast type feel, so personal and laidback, like you were visiting a friends house for the weekend. Amy, the owner, is so awesome!! She is down to earth, fun to talk to, and was so attentive in helping us with recommendations whenever we needed it, and even took us to the grocery store when we arrived!! She had the room stocked with bug spray, sunblock, beach chairs and towels, snorkel gear, basically anything you could need! She has kayaks you can take out whenever you want as well, and my friend and I kayaked a short distance from the inn to this private beach, which I highly recommend as it’s beautiful (see pictures). The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and nicely designed! Black, the inn keeper, and Leslie, the grounds keeper, are so friendly as well and willing to help with whatever you need. The only issue we had was not listening to Amy when she told us to reserve a car before we arrive, rookie mistake!! If Amy tells you to get a car, LISTEN TO HER!! Unless you are staying right along grace bay and plan on only staying in that area, you will need transportation to get around the island as things are spread out quite a bit, and taxis are hit or miss (no gov regulation so they can charge whatever they want). Luckily, my friend and I found this wonderful man named Donovan that was super reliable and honest so he took us to and from most places. If you’re not sure whether to book, this is your nudge to just book it already, you will not be disappointed!!

This villa was recommended by a special friend of mine. I told him what I wanted and received more. Amy the owner is awesome. From day one she made me feel like a special guest. I did a photoshoot at night at the pool, Amy got out of her bed to offer us more lighting. Now tell me a hotel that will do that for their Guest. When I tell you this property has everything you need believe it. The room was extremely clean. The bed was very relaxing and had a great view. I will recommend this villa over any hotel on any given day. I will be returning soon and staying at Banyan Inn. Once again, thank you Amy for making me feel welcome.

Amy, was very helpful and welcoming. The location for diving with Aqua Tci was perfect. The room had everything you could need, bug spray, suntan lotion, beach stuff and a kettle and mini fridge - Amy has thought of everything. The pool is lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a relaxed informal time to do your own thing in a lovely setting.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time staying at The Banyan Inn. Before we even arrived, Amy recommended Aqua TCI as the place to do scuba along with a car rental company. Her recommendations throughout our trip were equally as amazing. The Inn is clean, comfortable and beautiful. It's on a Marina, so it's quiet but with beautiful views of the ocean. The pool on the property is gorgeous. Amy, the owner, is a kind, hardworking woman. We sat under the gazebo one night and had rum and coke that she provided You will need a car (but I'd recommend that for Provo in general) and you're about 15 minutes away from everything. So it's a nice quiet oasis if you don't want to be in the heart of downtown. We can't wait to come back!

Amy, the owner is absolutely wonderful, sweet & kind!! She is so awesome! I was actually rude to her, but she took it with a grain of salt. I cannot thank Amy enough for this great visit at The Banyan Inn! Thank GOD for people like AMY!!

Great view but the owner Amy Shwartz has no cuatomer service skills. My family rented the entire villa for 5 days, then three rooms for three other days. She was snooping around in our rooms turning the AC when we were out, so we came back to hot rooms. Most of our food had to be thrown away after our event because she refused to repair the fridge in the kitchen. She kept blaming my family for the refrigerator not keeping cool. We tried our best to ignore and have a good time despite but I did not feel comfortable leaving my room knowing that she was snooping around. I would not recommend anyone to stay there, but if you do be very careful with her.

We absolutely loved this place! The rooms are just fabulous - comfortable beds, powerful shower and super clean - what more do you need? The location is really quiet and absolutely lovely to come home to such a peaceful place with such a lovely view over the water. The lady who runs this place is also really lovely and extremely helpful with advice on things to do. The customer service is also to an extremely high standard. I'd definitely recommend staying here on your trip to Turks and Caicos :-)
